Default A journey of weight loss

Hello All! My name is Erin and I've decided to begin this journey called Weight Loss. I've been on this journey MANY times before in many different methods. This time I've decided to just reduce calories and exercise. A novel concept, no? Anyway, after 8.5 years of marriage and 2 kids, I'm up about 55 lbs and am looking to lose 40 of that between now and next february. My husband and I have decided to take a tropical vacation with some friends.

My first goal is to lose 15 lbs by June 18...my birthday. That'll put me to pre babies weight. Then another 25 after that if possible by our vacation.

I started out about a month ago at 219 and am down to about 215. Mostly from stress, but I'll take anything right now. I work full time and am a full time wife and mother. Not much time in the day, but I will try to fit in what I can.

I'm looking for encouragement, accountability, and ANY suggestions at all to help me along on my journey.

Way to go, Erin!

I just started a couple of weeks ago, too! If other people have done it, so can we!

You asked for advice, and I hope this doesn't sound generic (but it's essential). I know now that a total lifestyle shift is what is required to take me to my goal. I must move more, eat healthfully, eat less, and drink water throughout the day. I've already lost a couple of pounds just keeping these things in mind. Perfect choices don't exist, but better choices are always there for us.

Please find a way to reduce your stress any way you can. This is vital to your well-being. We can only truly know ourselves when we are relaxed enough to make choices from the heart instead of through fear and being rushed. Any exercise will help. Good luck!
