Hi There! New here (sorta)
Hi, my name is Veronica. I have been using FitDay to track food on and off (between doing WW) for a year or so. I just decided to hop into the fray here on the forums.
A bit about myself: I am 40, married and have a daughter. I work as a dental hygienist full time. I started my weight loss journey in 2007 at a high weight of 219 lbs, and I am 4'11" tall. I am currently around 170 lbs, still needing to lose 45-50 lbs. I took up running when I lost the weight, and I have completed 5 half marathons so far. I will be running 2 more half marathons this year, and next year will embark on my training for my first full marathon.
Winter here in upstate NY is cold and snowy, so I don't get to do as much running as I like. I do have a treadmill, but hate to run on it. DH and I are both working on losing weight and getting healthier. We have made a workout area in the basement with the Wii Fit and weights and a DVD player for exercise videos. I'm good with cardio, I really need to work on strength training.
So thats me in a nutshell. Hoping that I can help inspire others and get inspiration from fellow FitDayers.
