How many?
Where do I find how many calories/carbs/fat I should be eating per day?
At this time I am not a work outer....just getting started...
Starting weight is 281...I am setting little goals for myself so it's easier.
My hubby is joining me and I'm looking for the same for him only he does moderate working out.
Thanks and I'm looking forward to getting started and being here.

Welcome to FitDay and the forums. Your calorie intake and mix are really up to you.
Once you enter your data (age/ht/wt and lifestyle) into FitDay it will give you your base calorie burn per day. Then, you may decide upon what daily calorie deficit you wish to maintain that will allow you do lose weight at (more or less) your chosen rate. You may add to your deficit by increasing your exercise.
Personally, I keep (on average) a calorie mix of 40/30/30 carb/protein/fat while keeping around 1500 calories per day. But, again, that is up to you. FitDay is meant to help you track and maintain your weight loss/health plan, not to promote any particular "diet".
Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions or would like advice.
Regards,
Michael

A 285 lb, 5'10" male with a "seated w/some movement" lifestyle (myself) burns around 2800 or so calories per day, not counting exercise and other daily activities. Generally, with my daily walk and other activites I'm right around 3000 to 3100.
Your weight is similar, but your burn will generally be less due to your sex.
Are you sure you entered 15 minutes and not 15 hours? 15 minutes would be entered as 00:15 in the activities log. It is easy to enter incorrectly--I've done it myself.
My daily 30 minute walk at 3 mhp is right around 160 calories, just for reference.
So, check that out and if you still have questions, let us know.
Regards,
Michael
