Yes, I gained weight during my period. So don't be upset if you've gained this week, as it should settle down again next week.

Cutting right back on the carbs has, I think, helped me. Maybe give it a go for a week or two and see if it makes a difference for you? Also, how are you going with the exercise? Are you just using the Wii Fit, or doing other things, as well? Perhaps you could shake things up a bit by doing something different one or two days a week, like a DVD or a jog or swimming or something?

Keep being proud of your achievements! The scales may not be your friend this month, but the mirror is, isn't it? You can see the changes, so don't give up!

alleysgurl 03-02-2011 04:30 AM

Yeah, the scale showed that I gained 3lbs! YIKES. Hopefully it'll give me a good number next week. lol
I do cardio and strength training 4 days a week and aerobics 2-3 days a week. Maybe I need to increase the time or the amount of reps.
Last night my husband asked if I wanted to run with him for about 10 min. He didn't think I could do it...but, I did! I've always wanted to run with him.

Do you have that one pair of pants that you can put on to judge how your body is changing? If so, how often do you try them on?:p

behaze 03-02-2011 08:50 AM

With the 'fat pants', not as such. I do have a pair of jeans that were too small for me but I wore anyway because they were the only jeans I had (always with a baggy top to hide the sliced-in-half look). I have not yet tried those on. I do have a steel-boned underbust corset which I actually tried on two nights ago. Last time I had that on (start of January), I was working out what I was going to wear to a gig and that corset basically made me look like a raw sausage clamped in a steel vice with oozage at top and bottom. Not a good look. Anyway, post-try-on, I now need a smaller size. My partner was very impressed. ;)

We're actually going to try a new set of DVDs, the P90X series? I don't know if you've heard of them. I came across them through the internet, saw the success story photos and now I want to try it. The girls look a little muscular for my tastes, but if I stick to lower weights with more reps, I should be right. My partner is even planning to give them a go after he saw the results for the men.

Have you tried Zumba? Depending on your weight/height, you can burn around 600-800 calories an hour, which is about double what you can burn with high-impact aerobics.

That's fantastic with the running! Does your husband run often? Are you going to make it a thing to go for a run every night?

And how about you - have you got 'fat pants'? How often are you trying them on?

alleysgurl 03-03-2011 04:12 AM

Look at you! That has to be a great feeling! I have a pair of jeans that I have been trying on once a week. lol My hip area is definitely changing/looking smaller. Not so much in my thigh area though. I can barely see some muscle definition coming out but no shape changes. YET.
Good luck w/the new set of DVD's. I'll have to look into them. I have heard of Zumba, have no idea what exactly it is though.
Alex loves to run. When he was younger/more fit he would run all the time. We would like to run together more. :)

behaze 03-03-2011 11:25 AM

Zumba is basically latin dancing - you know, salsa, merengue, samba, etc., with a bit of Egyptian and Spanish. It's a real workout and it's actually fun, even if you're uncoordinated. Oh, and you don't need a lot of room to do it. If you go on youtube, there are heaps of videos which will show you what it is. I'd recommend the original DVDs, though.

It's really great you can see changes in your hips - that's the hardest part for me to lose. I also think it's a wonderful idea for Alex and yourself to go running again! It gives you some 'us' time, too! Do you take the kids with you in prams and such, or do you have a helpful neighbour to look after them?

I am trying to get some exercise today. I am usually halfway through it now, but this morning as I was driving my son to school, I found myself axle-seep in mud. Yup. Completely and utterly bogged. The driveway repair guys came out and leveled it, made it wider, but didn't put road base on it, so now the whole length of it is just one big slick of soft mud. It's been raining all morning and the forecast predicts continued rain for at least 7 more days. Anyway, my son is now bugging me to play with him, because he's excited to have a day off school AND still be going to a friend's house to sleep over tonight. It's all a big holiday for him! :) I think I'll go easy on the DVD today, as I have at least two more round-trips to make to the end of the driveway and back today, plus the hard yakka trying to get the car out of the nice rut I made. Then tomorrow I'm helping my partner's mother move all her stuff to our place to store while she's overseas for 6 months (if we can figure out a way to get it from the road to the shed), so I think a day going easy won't hurt.

Well, I'm off for the weekend, so keep yourself active and healthy and feeling positive that it'll all pay off in the end. I'll talk to you in a couple of days!

Jllybnz 03-04-2011 01:46 PM

Day 12 using Fitday

I'm midfifties and have been more than 250 pounds for probably 10 years now. Hoping to lose 100 pounds in a year. I'm not telling folks in my life, because I've failed so many times before. Thought I might try conversing with other dieters.
Day 12 and it's been scary easy so far. It's the right time of year for me to start a diet. The promise of spring seems to be a good motivator.
I'm coming out the other side of the break up of a 30 year marriage. I'm starting to feel confident again.
Taking it one day at a time.

behaze 03-06-2011 02:47 PM

Hey Jllybnz! Welcome to our thread!

Good for you for wanting to make a change in your life. Stick with it, because no matter what age you are, it might just give you a few more years! We do a weigh in here every Tuesday. You're welcome to join us and share your triumphs and not-so-triumphant experiences.

Jessica! How did you go this weekend? I've been thinking about your discouragement and had an idea which might suit you better and perhaps take the focus off the scales and put it more on the body. Should we maybe have a measure-up on Tuesdays, too? Or replace the weigh-in with a measure-up?

I'm not really expecting to show a loss this week. We had a going-away party for my partner's mother, who is going overseas for 6 months. 'Nuff said, hey? But I did make many trips down the driveway with 11kgs of baby strapped to my front and grocery bags full of a week's worth of food. So it might have evened it all out. Fingers crossed.

Did you go running again?

behaze 03-07-2011 10:36 AM

Weigh-in.

Well, that was unexpected, considering my not-too-well-behaved weekend. A loss of 1.7kgs, which is 3.7lbs. Maybe having an extra day off exercising was a good idea? I don't know, but I'm pleased.

How did you go?

alleysgurl 03-07-2011 11:54 PM

Hey...Hey! Sorry I haven't made a peep for a couple of days. :p

Jllybnz, welcome! You have to embrace the change. There will be so much happiness and peace when you can embrace the new you.

So, I lost 4 lbs! I figured it would be a big number since last week I was on my period. I know it's mainly water weight but it's a loss, isn't it?;) I'm 10lbs away from my first goal weight! behaze, you are dropping the weight! That's awesome! Hauling a baby thru mud might just become a new weight loss craze. haha
What's your weather like today?

Alex and I haven't had the chance to run together again. All 3 of the kiddos have been sick. :(

BTW, this week I started using Splenda instead of sugar in my coffee. Trying to cut back those carbs...

behaze 03-08-2011 08:39 AM

:D YAY!!! Go Jessica! That's awesome. I bet you did a little victory dance when the scale showed you a 4lb loss, hey?

I hope your kids are all better now. I'm fortunate in that my 8yo hasn't been sick a day in his life, and so far, neither has my 10mo (though while I was working, I still took days off to tend to my 'sick kids', naughty me).

The weather is actually turning really cold. I have thought, for the past few years, the seasons are coming earlier. We're all sitting here in tracky-daks and jumpers and I had to put the heater on in the baby's bedroom the other night (then saw the spark inside the casing and smelt something burning and switched it straight off, unplugged it and took it far, far away from his room). And yes, it's still raining a bit, but the driveway guys have come back and scraped all the mud off the driveway so I can get my car in and out. One of them came up and picked me up from the house and took me to the car, then returned me to the house whenever I had to go out (what a nice guy), but that was perfect timing, because the clip on my baby carrier broke, so I was walking funny to try and distribute the weight and keep him from falling out. They've now left it to let it dry out (ha! not likely at the moment, I think) and will come back in a few days and lay some road base on it.

I got my p90x DVDs yesterday, so my partner and I are starting that on Monday. I can't wait. Though it does, I have heard, halt weight loss for the first month while it's building up some muscle. But at the end of the 90 day program, I know I'm going to be stronger, healthier and smaller.

Good for you for substituting your sugar. What other diet changes are you making? When do you think you'll be able to get back out and do some running? Have you managed to exercise while your kids have been ill, or has runnign around after them been exercise enough? :)

alleysgurl 03-09-2011 12:54 AM

I would give anything to have kids that didn't get sick! lol During the fall/winter/spring, our weather is so up and down that it's hard for ANYONE to stay well.

Some rain here and there would be nice. It's supposed to be 80 degrees outside today...starting to really warm up. Kind of makes me want to "spring clean". Kind of....

Your new DVD's sound intense! You'll have to let me know what changes you start seeing and all of that. It'll be interesting to see the process your body will go thru. I have still been working out. Yesterday I actually got in 40 min at 1 time! It was great. We'll be running again this coming weekend. I work every night until Saturday this week so it's been difficult.

Other changes to my diet? I've cut my portions down a little bit again. It's amazing how much food we put on our plates and then don't realize it until we start cutting back.

behaze 03-09-2011 02:15 PM

Yeah, they're intense. We're actually starting the program on Monday, because it's 6 days a week and we'd like a weekend day off (you can do the stretch DVD on the 7th day, or nothing at all). There are 12 workouts, but we got 2 free workouts with it, so I did one of those this morning, then followed it up with the stretch DVD. Wow. I feel great. Adrenalin is a wonderful thing. :) We are taking day 0, day 30, day 60 and day 90 photos, so I'm happy to share those with you. Women have varying degrees of changes in their body (always a change, but some get 'ripped' and some just get slender), but men, if they're not obese, generally end up with a 6-pack. My partner is very much looking forward to his new body in June.

I know (re: cutting down portion size). I made a casserole the other night, which served 6. Once upon a time, the three of us would chomp through 2 servings each, plus whatever sides we had. Now, there are 3 servings individually container-ed in the freezer for a quick dinner or lunches for the boys. Once I was finished my dinner, I looked at the left-overs and just went, 'nope. I'm full. Don't want it.' Even my partner didn't go back for more (except to pick out a few pieces of broccoli). It really is amazing to think of the amount of food you eat which your body really, really, really doesn't need.

I need to do an 'autumn clean'. I've been kind of slack on the housewife front for the past few weeks. Fortunately, my partner learned long ago not to complain when I can't be bothered washing the clothes or scrubbing the bathroom (he also learned to give me copious amounts of praise when I put in a full day's worth of scrubbing and mopping). Work and school clothes are always clean at the start of the week, and their food is pretty much always prepared by me, so if I hear any complaints, I prove what life's like when I do absolutely nothing. Hehehe. However, now when I open the linen cupboards, I see crap stacked in, shoved in, precariously balanced on shelves and I'm trying to work myself up to getting off my butt, emptying it all out and re-stacking. Ugh.

It occurred to me this morning that I kind of don't want the driveway to be finished, because that means we'll get an inspection. We haven't had one since August (the real estate is supposed to do them every 3 months) because they didn't want to drive up the driveway. Now they'll have no excuse. I guess that'll make me HAVE to do this 'autumn clean', though. Our lawn mower died on us a couple of weeks ago, too, so that's just something else we'll need to get fixed and actually do. The area I got done before it conked out is now already ankle-deep and scraggly (you don't want to know what the area I didn't get done looks like :D).

It's our 10 year anniversary tomorrow. I was supposed to pick up my gift for him yesterday, but I forgot about it and spent the money on exercise equipment for p90x (and a new blender, because our old one was seriously crap). I'll have to get in on Saturday. I'm getting him an onyx ring with something engraved inside. I know it's not particularly inspired, but he does want one.

Well, have fun working! I hope you get to pack in some more exercise like yesterdays! Don't you just feel so fantastic once you've finished and had a nice, long, hot shower? I think I might reward myself - kick back on the lounge with a movie until I have to go pick up my boy from school.

How are your jeans fitting, now?

alleysgurl 03-10-2011 04:35 PM

Happy Anniversary!!! 10yrs is great.

Yeah, now I'm really anxious to see pictures of your progress as you do these DVD's! Are you hoping to get ripped or slender? :D If I could choose, I'd go slender. You?
What are your thoughts on taking a energy supplement/appetite suppressant? I'm thinking about trying a few different ones to see how my body reacts. We could all use more energy, right? Especially us moms.

My husband does a really good job at sharing in the house keeping responsibilities. Since I usually work at night, he'll do some laundry or vacuum. The kitchen is always dishless. Not wiped down but no dirty dishes laying around. He's great! I don't know what I'd do without him. Every now and then I'll get myself into a routine and the house stays really nice and clean for a few weeks. Notice I said "a few weeks". haha

The ring sounds nice! If it's something that he's wanting, it'll be all the more special. Don't beat yourself up for forgetting. 9 times out of 10, guys don't really expect/want anything. :p

I can button the waist on the jeans, IF I can pull them up past my thighs. It's a start though! You?

behaze 03-13-2011 01:59 PM

Thanks! Our anniversary was great. My partner tricked me into believing he was working, so he set his alarm for his usual wake-up time, then went in to get ready. I thought I heard the baby monitor go off, but didn't hear it again, so fell back to sleep. I woke up at 7.30 (wow!) and discovered that he had the boys ready for the day, had breakfasted and clothed them, and he took my 8yo to school so I could have a bit of 'me' time. He came home with some hired DVDs and we spent the day snuggled up on the couch. What a sweetheart. We were meaning to play Mr Squiggle and old-school Super Mario Brothers, but just didn't get around to it. The first night we met, he came to my house to pick up his friend, who was going out with my roommate. They were going to a party. But, he met me and I was so charismatic and gorgeous (hehehe) that they didn't end up going to the party. So his friend and my roommate ended up locked away in the bedroom watching movies and we sat at the kitchen table drinking and playing Mr Squiggle - do you remember the old TV show? People would send in random squiggles and shapes and dots or whatever on a piece of paper, and Mr Squiggle would turn them into a picture. Silly, I know, but we played it for hours. Though funnily enough, I do recall the first time I saw him; one afternoon, I was walking home from work and a van pulled up, a tall guy with long black hair, a black trenchcoat and big black boots climbed out and disappeared into a house (which was my roommate's boyfriend's house - though they weren't together at the time). I have always thought it somewhat auspicious that I remember such a random and non-descript event - that was probably about 6 months before we actually met. Then I discovered that when I was about 10 or 11, I used to do a ceramics class with his youngest sister, and I remember her well, though we didn't associate. Weird.

I don't want to become 'grrr! Steroids!!!' ripped, but I'd like a little bit of muscle definition in my abs and arms/back. I did the first day of workouts this morning (Chest, Back and Abs) and my arms are quaking! Wow. What a workout. I feel great, though. I'll post comparitive pictures at 30 days (then 60, then the final ones) so you can see how they're working. By the feel of my shoulder and chest muscles at the moment, I have a pretty good feeling they're going to work!

Energy supplements - go for it, if you're a bit run-down. I definitely agree we could all use more energy! As for the appetite suppressants, I am personally not too keen on them for myself. Perhaps you could try having a big glass of water before you eat. The water will give you a short-term feeling of fullness, so you shouldn't eat as much through your meal. By the time the water has worked its way through, your body should have recognised it has had enough food. I don't know. If that doesn't work for you, maybe the suppressants are the way to go to help you along a bit.

My jeans fit perfectly around the hips, now! I'm quite excited about that. They're a bit baggy around the bum and thighs (I have lots of baby belly :D), but that's okay. I don't wear jeans too often, anyway. I've switched to 'skinny pants', now. I have a pair of vibrant purple exercise shorts I once fit into when I lost weight last time. They look like baby shorts when I hold them up against myself at the moment, but I'm kind of hoping they'll fit again. I can't pull them up, yet.

Your husband sounds awesome! It's lovely to have someone help out with the mundane things. I didn't, by the way, mean to insinuate my partner doesn't help out because he does every now and then - and he's especially good with the kids. :)

How did you go over the weekend? Did you fit in some exercise? Are you guys getting some running in again? Are your kids feeling better, now? Did you enjoy your night off work? :D

behaze 03-14-2011 02:19 PM

Weigh-in: Loss of 300g, which is about two-thirds of a pound.

How did you go?

alleysgurl 03-16-2011 05:30 AM

lol Sounds like you have quite the catch! How sweet of him to do all of those things for you. Sometimes the smallest of things mean the most. That's great! Thanks for sharing the story about how you met. Us girls always remember. Guys...not so much. haha Alex and I were high school sweet hearts. Dated for 1 1/2yrs before breaking up. I was engaged once and he dated a girl pretty seriously before both of our relationships ended. He is best friends with my brother so it wasn't too hard to get his attention 4 yrs later. :) The second go around, it was easy. We just clicked and seemed to pick up from where we left off. We'll be married for 7yrs this coming June.

Do the DVD's warn that "muscle quaking may occur"? lol Sounds like some serious workout! I did a few of the P90X exercises that I found online and was feeling the burn. I may have to save my money and get them.

Yeah, I seem to get tired in the early afternoon. I realize that it's perfectly normal since I'm a mom on the brink of turning 30 but, it's frustrating. A little energy boost is what I need.

I actually tried on a pair of khakis yesterday and could tell a big difference in the way they fit around my belly area. Which was good considering I kind of fell off the band wagon over the weekend and pretty much ate what I wanted to. YIKES So, it didn't surprise me when the scale showed I had gained 1 lb. But, we're going on holiday this coming weekend to California and will be doing a lot of walking. I'm hoping to find the stairs at the hotel we'll be staying at too.

:D

behaze 03-16-2011 02:06 PM

I definitely don't take him for granted. We've shared so very much together, from debilitating, heart-breaking tragedies to borderline poverty to just sitting in the dark on the verandah, giggling like kids at stupid things. He's done things for me no man wants to even consider, let alone do.

That's amazing that you and Alex came back together again after however many years. I guess you both needed to experience other things before committing to each other so steadfastly. I guess it makes things nice and cruisy at family get-togethers if your brother and he are bestest buddies, eh? Have you got anything planned for your 7 year anniversary?

I'm gonna say 'save those pennies'! Truly, I feel fantastic! I no longer have that little baby-flap going on (though it is still a bit smoodgy), and I've only been doing it a few days. The changes are already noticeable. Can't wait to compare the day 0 and day 30 photos! Yesterday, when I was having a flat tyre replaced, I was standing at my car, waiting, and the guys in the workshop were taking little side-long glances at me. Of course, I pretended to be all cool and collected, like it's an everyday thing, but I haven't been given a side-long glance from a strange guy in so long. The guy who brought the tyre out to put in my boot kind of tripped over himself saying 'thankyou' to me (I don't know why he was thanking me). I told my partner last night and he just gave me a huge, knowing grin. Boosted ego? You betcha!

Nice (re: holiday). Is there a particular reason you're going away, or just for the hell of it? And I hope you find those stairs, too, even just to know where to go in case of fire! :D

alleysgurl 03-25-2011 04:31 AM

Oh it's good to be back! :D We had such a wonderful time and it was a much needed trip away from the daily grind. We have annual passes to Sea World in San Diego, California that are expiring soon so we wanted to go before that happened.
I didn't find the stairs, although every fire exit strategy showed them right by our room...
But, we did LOTS of walking, pushing double strollers, holding kids on shoulders, etc. I was sick most of the trip and didn't have much of an appetite so I'm pleased to announce that I lost 2lbs!! YAY. I could really tell a difference in my stamina level.

So, you're getting your bikini body already?! That's awesome! I can't wait to see progress pictures. It's a great feeling to get checked out, huh? It's kind of like, "a couple of kids and some hard knocks in life and I've still got it!" haha
You go girl!

:p

scaried 03-25-2011 09:12 AM

Hi everyone!

Hello to you all!

I am new to this site as I think it's time I had someone to talk to about trying to shift this weight who really understands!

So I would welcome any advice, tips, motivation! And I am happy to help in any way I can too :)

So a little about me - I'm 35, female, from the UK.

I am restarting a massive health/weightloss kick after a few years of staying the same weight.

About 3 years back I managed to lose 8 stone - I used to weigh 23 stone. I kind of came to a halt at my current weight and I thought I was happy with that - it was a big change both physically and psychologically to get used to!

But I've realised I'm still not happy with my body and so I have to try to shift the rrest of it.

So new vision, new target, but it is hard and it is really difficult to shift the pounds now.

I would appreciate any support/help and really just some new friends to have a good chat to - even in cyberland! :)

Hope you all have a good weekend,
Sarah

scaried 03-25-2011 09:17 AM

oops sorry thought it was a new thread - sorry ladies! will try to post in the right place now :S lol

behaze 03-27-2011 01:17 PM

No worries, scaried! Good luck on your journey!

Jessica, I missed this new post from you! I have been looking each day to see if you'd returned, so sorry for the late reply.

So happy you had a great time, and well done to you on losing another couple of pounds. Sad, though, that you didn't feel the greatest. And wooo! for the increased stamina.

Hmmm . . . the case of the invisible stairs, hey? Maybe they were hiding in a cupboard, or they were the sneaky Harry Potter kind that change at random intervals . . .

Well, it's weigh in tomorrow. I didn't report here last week as I knew you were away, but I gained 700g, which is just under 2 lbs, so thanks very much for transferring your loss to me. :p Nevertheless, I am still pleased with how everything is going and the size difference.

How did you fare over the weekend?

alleysgurl 03-28-2011 04:15 AM

Well, I still haven't settled back into my routine here at home so hoping to do that today. :) I have clean laundry all over the place because I kept telling myself "i'll do it Monday" over the weekend. :p
Doing good though, threw out a coffee cake so I wouldn't be tempted to eat anymore of it. I have successfully had my coffee with no sugar, using splenda now, for 2 weeks! YAY!

Who knew lost weight could be transferred? That's good to know though! lol

behaze 03-28-2011 01:49 PM

Oooh, good on you and the coffee cake situation. And yeah, I've actually discovered that I like the taste of coffee that hasn't been dredged through a sugarcane farm. One teaspoon for me now, but I don't drink much coffee, anyway.

Ha, yeah, I'm having the same laundry issues. There is a pile of clothes in the laundry aching for a wash, my formal lounge suite is piled high with clean clothes and my washing line is full (it's raining, so not likely to be emptied soon!). I am simply choosing not to look at the clean clothes. Maybe the House Fairies will take pity on me.

Okay, so I lost 800g this week, which is 1.7lbs, so I lost my transferred gain (hehe) and just a tiny bit more.

How did you go? And did you manage to settle back into your routine today?

alleysgurl 03-31-2011 05:17 AM

Congrats on the loss!! I lost 1 lb. :D

I have settled back into my work out routine! I even changed it up a bit. Well, quite a bit actually. But it feels good to hurt. lol

How is the P90X going?

My husband was offered a new job, making more money! Which means that I get to quit my job and be home with my kids. I'm super excited about that. I didn't realize how much I would miss it...

alleysgurl 04-05-2011 04:59 AM

Didn't lose or gain anything this week. :)

I found a few P90X exercises that I'm going to start doing. Also tried a spring dress on that didn't fit last spring...a few more pounds and I'll be able to wear it! I could at least zip it and tug it over my thighs. :)

How are you doing?

behaze 04-11-2011 11:38 AM

Sorry, Jessica - I went AWOL for a while, there.

Congratulations to your husband! That's awesome that you get to spend more time with the kiddies now. That means you'll have a little bit more time to dedicate to getting yourself in shape, too!

I've been perusing new clothes, too. Only now I'm looking in the maternity section. Yeah, I found out we're going to have another baby, so that's really exciting. Poor timing, perhaps, but that's life. Actually, we'd stopped trying about six weeks ago so we could both go right through to the end with P90X, so now I'm doing a bit of research and finding out what I can continue with and what I should substitute with something else. But I'm okay with the inevitable weight gain, because everything but my belly has shrunk quite nicely (now that makes sense), so I just need to keep the muscle tone.

What P90X exercises have you found and are you doing? Are you liking it? Seeing results?

alleysgurl 04-20-2011 04:51 AM

I"m here! I"m alive! lol
Don't know what happened there for a bit. :D

Congrats on the new baby on the way! That's always exciting and always happens when you decided to get into shape. lol
That's what happened when I got pregnant with my boy. I had started really working out and eating better. That lasted for a good 4 weeks and I ended up pregnant. My husband says it's because the sex drive took a huge jump due to feeling more confident in the way I looked. :D

I've been plateaued for the last couple of weeks. I just need to switch up my work out routine to confuse my muscles.
I've only been doing 2 of the P90X moves and they work!!! The wacky jumps (I think that's what it's called), and the hip circle kicks. Love them!

Have you found out what sort of exercises you're going to be able to do now? Maybe some maternity yoga?

Look forward to hearing from you!

Hi guys!

I'm Ang, also new to this program!

I just wrote a longish introduction and it hasn't posted so this time, I'm writing a shorter one!! Although it is still long!!

I have been trying to lose weight most of my life! I'm 36 next month and have a 6 year old son. I find it incredibly difficult to lose weight at the best of times but am on medication that is making it increasingly hard.... Anyway, I've changed my workouts the last week and have upped the anti a bit - have done 3 x 10-15 minute sessions, completing a combination of cardio, light weights, yoga and / or pilates, treadmill, exercise bike, tae-bo, walk..... Have felt a difference just by doing this for the week! So am feeling pretty motivated... probably a good thing considering the Easter Bunny is here tomorrow!!!

Anyway, hopefully we will get to know each other more! And hopefully, this will post this time around!

Happy Easter. Talk soon!

Ang

Ang, welcome to FitDay and the forums!

Stick with your exercise and add in a decent calorie deficit and I know you'll start losing. Don't forget to drink plenty of water as well.

If you have any questions or would like any advice, simply ask.

Regards,
Michael

PS If you have the "compose" window open "too long" the forum software will time out and your post will be lost. If you're composing a long post, it's always a good idea to "copy" it before you hit the Submit Reply button. That was if it gets lost you can go back, open a new compose window and "paste" your text back in.
