New here; need to lose 80 lbs Any suggestions?
 
I am thinking of doing a low carb version of some sort of diet. I have heard of people going on diets where they lose large amounts of weight in a short time period like 90 lbs in 90 days. Has anyone here had success with that ? if so I would be very interested in what diet you followed and how it worked.

I think I need to try eating the same thing every day. I feel like I need to minimize my contact with food. The longest I have stayed on a diet is a few weeks then I fail and can't seem to get restarted. I am very excited to find this website it seems like it will improve my chances of long term success.

It is difficult because I have so much to lose.

90 pounds in 90 days? Even if you could, I don't think it would be good for your health!

Good luck with your dieting efforts. Even people with just a few pounds to lose can struggle with that, so feeling daunted by the task is understandable. But you can do it.

Eating fewer calories underlies all the weight loss strategies. Have you talked to your doctor and asked for his or her opinion? A lot of doctors like Weight Watchers but there are a variety of established diet plans that use menus, food choices, and group support (online or offline) to help a person lose weight. Your doctor can advise you whether a plan is healthy. And you can always count calories by logging your food here on fitday!

I have been drinking smart coffee and lost 10 lbs in 4 weeks. My sister lost 17 lbs in 4 weeks, we have lost plenty of inches also. If you would like to try it I have a link
