Bmi

Does anyone else think that FitDay's BMI calculation is incorrect? I don't think they are using the correct calculation based on Hieght AND Age. Of course, no matter which site you go to, they all have their own definition of how it should be calculated.

BMI is a pretty straightforward formula. Multiply your weight in pounds (times a constant, I think?) and divide that by the square of your height in inches. Mine is the same for all the sites I've visited.

You may want to double check to make sure you entered your height and weight correctly.

I've never heard of BMI having anything to do with age.

All that being said, however, BMI is extremely limited in the useful information it can provide.

Careful going by just BMI. as cjohnson728 said it is limited in its usefulness. Going by body fat % is much more useful. I always range in the upper overweight section of BMI but I am only at 13% body fat.
