Hello All

I desperately need someone to help me with my diet. I was thinking along the lines of weekly catch ups to see how we're doing, honesty about why we're failing/succeeding.

I need to lose 20kg, I'm 26 and have been overweight my whole life. I just want to be healthy. 20kg won't make me skinny, just normal. I'm learning a lot about food at the moment, and its scary how little I knew about nutrition. (shouldn't they teach this in school?!?)

If someone is willing to help me, I would really appreciate it.

Fit day site is a great way to track your intake. I've used it on and off for a couple of years, but this is the first time I've taken a look at the forums. It seems that there are plenty of supportive people here to help you reach your goals. I've dropped about 15 lbs over the last couple of months. I drop very slowly even when exercising hard. Being diabetic seems to slow weight loss. I have about 25 - 30lbs more to lose which seem to be the hardest.

I'm new to this site but if anyone still wants a buddy I would love that to help each other out . Might be a bit of time difference though being in New Zealand .

Looking for a Diet Buddy and Support?

Hi fellow fit day members,
I just put together a free 60-Day Weight Loss Challenge beginning last Sunday (August 5th) for my friends and facebook community and you are welcome to join for the support, coaching, daily tips, diet, shopping list and more. We have a weekly Sunday night call where everyone checks in and I offer coaching and answer questions. We even have a facebook group for daily support, to share tips, etc.

I'm a weight loss expert, certified nutritionist, and personal trainer and have used fit day now for 6 years - whenever I go on a diet to drop extra body fat.

Feel free to contact me and I'll invite you to the Challenge.

Also looking for a motivational buddy!

Hi everyone - I'm also looking for suport. I am at 159 and trying to get back down to 140 - and someday ideally down to 130. I gained 19 pounds since last December, so I do have my work cut out for me. I was living in Vietnam and India, which was mostly great for my dieting ;) but my parents tend to keep a big supply of all the naughty stuff on hand! So my willpower has been tested and found wanting !

At my heaviest I was 185...so I have done a pretty good job in losing it the first time around. I need to motivate myself and get back to counting calories...that is what works for me, as I am always pretty active...but I do tend to eat everything I see!!!

I also started a pretty stressful social work job, and the first three months were difficult. I feel that I have settled in, so now I am not tempted to eat...I am quite the emotional eater.

I joined a challenge at my gym and am trying to get motivated and on track for it. I would like to be down to 140 by Dec. 15 but don't think that is reasonable. I find I am comfortable when I consume around 1200- 1600 calories. I am boosting my workouts and going running and lifting weights, as I think that will definitely help.

I am in my mid-30s, recently married and have no kids. Really miss my guy as he is still in India - he will be coming here in a few months I hope. Am going back to India to visit him in jan or feb.

Anyways, please drop me a line here or send me your email address. I'd love to hear from you and offer you all the support I can!

luv L
