Back to fit day
I used fitday and my own determination to lose about 50 some pounds 16 years ago. I gradually gained a large share of the weight back then had surgery and lost about 45 to 50 pounds. Now I have gained back at least 40 of that.
Also the doctor is very concerned about my high blood pressure. So it is back to fitday. I have been checking my diet carefully and have increased my daily walk by about 4 blocks a day. My goal now is to get off the yo-yo, lose about 30 pounds and keep it off. I am age 74, 5'7" weigh 193 down from 198 after two weeks back on fitday and keeping track of what I eat. I am taking medications for the blood pressure. Those are helping but my goal is to lose the weight and try to reduce the now required meds. |
Down another half pound today. That makes a 5 pound loss from 198 to 193. Hopefully I can keep it up and be about 180 by Christmas.

Thanks. My eventual goal is 160 which is what the bmi charts say I should weigh. but for now I will be glad to get down just another 15 pounds.

Down another pound today. A other ;air of my slacks is fitting.

Down another half pound today. Had to get out my winter jacket--it fits better.

Rats!! Scale today says up a couple of pounds. But I shall continue and things should work themselves out.

Scale is back to what it was day before yesterday.

But back up a pound and a half today--guess I will just keep at it. I certainly am following the advice of those who say to lose weight slowly.

Same as yesterday. Still keeping to same diet and exercise. Have to realize this will all take time.

Ten day vacation--just ate meals, no snacks, but could not count up everything. Came home to half a pound down.

Was down half a pound after vacation--then started pigging out and was up 4.5 pounds. So now I am back on the ball and am only half a pound over what I was after vacation.
so it is back to writing everything down and keeping the calories in check. I have been doing my ten block walk every day since vacation. Have to see the doc for my heart Nov 5, so want to be down at least half pound more before then. |
