Back to fit day
I used fitday and my own determination to lose about 50 some pounds 16 years ago. I gradually gained a large share of the weight back then had surgery and lost about 45 to 50 pounds. Now I have gained back at least 40 of that.
Also the doctor is very concerned about my high blood pressure. So it is back to fitday. I have been checking my diet carefully and have increased my daily walk by about 4 blocks a day. My goal now is to get off the yo-yo, lose about 30 pounds and keep it off. I am age 74, 5'7" weigh 193 down from 198 after two weeks back on fitday and keeping track of what I eat. I am taking medications for the blood pressure. Those are helping but my goal is to lose the weight and try to reduce the now required meds. |
Down another half pound today. That makes a 5 pound loss from 198 to 193. Hopefully I can keep it up and be about 180 by Christmas.

16 years ago, wow I had no idea fitday was around that long. Good for you for the tracking and walking. That's great. Join the motivational thread if you like :) newcomers welcome.

Thanks. My eventual goal is 160 which is what the bmi charts say I should weigh. but for now I will be glad to get down just another 15 pounds.

Down another pound today. A other ;air of my slacks is fitting.

Down another half pound today. Had to get out my winter jacket--it fits better.

Rats!! Scale today says up a couple of pounds. But I shall continue and things should work themselves out.
