Goals:

1. 3 workouts this week (excluding walking challenge): M-N, T-Swim, W-Weights, Th-swim, F-nothing
2. 3 vegs/day: M-3, T-5. W-4. Th-6, F-3
3. Omega 3 everyday: M-Y, T-Y, W-Y, Th-Y, F-Y
4. >3k calorie deficit this week: M- 811, T-1189, W-753, Th-948. F-721

Walking Challenge: 3.5 miles in. No change. Raining too hard and no time to go to the gym on the treadmill today

Even though I did no physical activity today, the count of 3 is working good for me!

Family brought Fried chicken dinner home today and I had no stomach for it at all (which I attribute abstinence removing the taste for it)-made some shrimp instead.

Long weekend coming, daughter's birthday. I am realizing that there are parties quite often (sigh)....I will probably make her a cake. She usually wants a cheesecake.

Claire.....isn't that eye popping the cals in a blizzard?! Oh but they are so yummy.

Jho - Yeah those calories from alcohol can really sneak up on you, didn't realise it until I started logging and realised I was hitting back 10k a week from drinking

Kocialapcia - Not drinking is really tough, gotta try make it 7 days in a row though. If your cat is fat I think you can log a few calories of exercise from it sitting on you.

Joanna - Mexican food and a margarita! These forums make us lose sight of all those delicious meals that we used to enjoy

Mike - Slow down with the banhammer, 3 in a row is already a killing spree

Donna - 66g of sugar, that just doesn't sound right, are you sure about that?

Epixi - Stay away from the chocolate, it's not worth it!

It's been pretty quiet this week, I thought for sure I'd have way more than 3 by now.

Stay strong this weekend. Looks like you got it out of your system on Tuesday.

I've never had a s'mores. There aren't any DQ's close to me so I usually get a Sonic Blast. I do hit up a DQ when ever I get the chance. I think I've hit every one in VA Beach when I head up north. I may have to make a trip to Mississippi soon to get a Blizzard. Maybe that'll give you a little incite as to why I was asking for details. Those that have been here a while know that a Blizzard/Blast is one of my biggest weaknesses... besides a PB&J sammich.

My favorite blizzard is a peanut butter cup. I think I too Mike would partake if I could get them so rarely. But I have one literally 3 blocks away from my work. I literally work on a street that has almost every fast food franchise around. But the pool is only 3 blocks away, and it's indoor and it's 3 dollars a swim, so it's all good.

One of my biggest challenges was to make my lunch instead of eating take out. It's been months now that I have been able to do it.

Ian you are so rocking the walking challenge. I'm never gonna make 10 miles this week, pouring rain daily, but oh well it's good motivation to try.

Today I am 4 pounds from my goal weight. Mike thank you for coming up with a fun theme this week because I am getting bored(!) of my goals.

  • Vegetables > 3 / day: 0, 1, 0, 2, 3

Yes, I'm pretty sure about the sugar content in that Salmon dinner - It was mainly from the pineapple glaze and garnish. Hopefully that was counterbalanced by some fat-busting enzymes. And I have to admit I also ate the cornbread.

Picked up those cupcake and I haven't tried any -- yet. I know, though, that today will be a Big Cal day.

After that I'll definitely need, lots of water aerobics!

- Donna

P.S. Goooooo Robin!

Claire (and Mike, Ian and Robin), I feel so out of the loop. I've never had a Blizzard. Lived through (and shoveled out from ) a few, but have never eaten one. I couldn't even tell you where the nearest DQ is, but it must be fairly far away. I don't even recall seeing any DQ ads since we moved here.

Donna, I hear you on the Big Calorie Day. Mine was yesterday. Cake and cupcakes are the devil (but oooo so tasty devils!).

Hang in there, Libby! You can do it!

Goooo Robin! So close!

And look at you, Ian; you more than doubled your goal deficit! Nice!

Goals for the Week:
  • Log everything, no exceptions (nibbles and "tastes" count!): yes, yes, yes, yes, yes
  • Maintain adequate daily hydration: yes, yes, yes, yes, yes
  • Maintain a 7-day rolling average between 1200-1550 calories: 1303, 1361, 1396, 1425, 1570
  • Maintain a 7-day rolling average between 800-1300mg sodium: 940, 859, 1040, 1127, 1359
  • Maintain a 7-day rolling average of at least 16g fiber: 12, 13, 12, 12, 10
  • Maintain a 7-day rolling average of at least 30g protein: 39, 37, 36, 43, 45
  • Some sort of physical activity 4x during the week: Mon=nothing, Tues=Taiko, Wed=nothing, Thu=Yoga Class, nothing ...(2/4)
  • Study every day: yes, yes, yes, yes, yes

Sooooo basically, I can't eat today or tomorrow, hehe (j/k, not gonna happen). Cake, ice cream, fried rice and an extra cup of coffee (it's the real cream that kills it) made for a calorie/sodium blowout! On the good side, I was so full of cake and ice cream, I had no room for the chocolate chunk cookies. On the scary side, there's still cake and cookies in the kitchen... And I haven't had breakfast yet...
