Facing the Thanksgiving holiday with trepidation? You're not alone!
I''m having Thanksgiving dinner with my husband in a restaurant. Do you think I am going to be measuring and counting the calories on my plate? Nah. I will also have a cocktail. You bet. I make it a point to never drink at home, so this is going to be fun. I will have a martini. Then, it's back to the 'healthy' dieting and looking at a plate with calories in mind. One good thing about Intermittent Fasting (IF): you can do it on a holiday. So far, this week: IF, check. Lost my Garmin (temporarily), but I will find it and start counting activity again. I always aim to go the Y but I never do. It stays in my list of goals. And then: December creeps in. Ugh. I'm feeling the stress already. And stress makes me eat. Reign that in. When I start to feel cravings and I'm tempted to go off the deep end with something sweet or something fatty, I will think: 'Des-stress. Relax!' and try to work my way thorugh the stress, rather than eating my way through the stress. Will see how that goes! |
Happy Thanksgiving! It's a time to enjoy and relax - and remember, turkey is good protein!

December is here! Tough month for people who diet. Buckle up! It's going to be a bumpy ride!
