Default Weeky Challenge 1/21/2019-1/27/2019

Post your goals for this week and check in.

Mine: Intermittent fasting,10 minutes of physical therapy (leg work for my knee), and drink more water.

Turns out, I like Intermittent Fasting. The leg work: not so much. I'll continue to do it because it really does make a difference, according to the physical therapist. I am going to drink more water this week (650 ml every day).

May the games begin!

HAPPY MONDAY, EVERYONE!

So I'm trying to survive the polar vortex now, after having endured hail, torrential rain, and icy winds all weekend. It is RIDICULOUSLY cold, so it will be a major challenge for me to get in my steps today. I think things are supposed to go back to normal tomorrow. I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I pretty much worked all weekend.

Sending good vibes to all of you. Let's do this!

1. LOG FOOD EVERYDAY:
2. NO SWEETS 6X:
3. 1200-1400 CALORIES PER DAY:
4. GYM/EXERCISE 4X:
5. WALK 10,000 STEPS/DAY:

Update from last week: I killed my goals. I didn't get 6k steps a day (I got very close Monday-Friday). Over the weekend I got over 19K steps, so I was able to make up for being confined to my desk. The weight is finally starting to fall off. I'm not exactly sure how much I lost last week, I'd have to look... probably 4 pounds. I do know that Friday I was 217.0, this morning I was 213.8, so over 3 pounds in a few short days!!

Happy Monday Rosa, sounds like so cruddy weather. Nice goals again!
Kathy, great job on the IF!! It makes it nicer when you can find something that works and you actually like it.

As for me and my goals...

1) 100 water per day
2) Average 6k steps per day
3) No alcohol

i added water (tip of the hat to Mike for showing how useful water is for weight loss). I HATE drinking water. AGGHHHHH!
I have a container of water that I will keep with me (in the car, by the bed) and aim to drink the contents down, even if that means chugging it in the middle of the night!

So far today has been an insane day. First thing this morning I went to visit with my father in-law that's having a rough time recovering from a surgery. That's a 2 hour round trip, between the trip and visiting I spent a good bit of the day on my butt. I get back home and get in my office (on my butt again), start work and my daughter calls because she on side on the interstate having car troubles. So off I go again, more time on my butt. I get back to my office and I am eyeballs deep in stuff that needs to be done for work. Then my FIL calls and said he needs to be admitted back into the hospital, his wife doesn't like to drive when it's dark, they have to do shopping then she's going to run him home to pack a bag. I'll be heading out shortly to head over there to get him and bring him back up to the hospital. It'll be dark before I make it back, then I'll need to follow up with clients... and I'm only at 2700 steps for the day. My water and food has been on point, my steps are lacking for today. If I can somehow get 5k today, I'll consider it a success.

Sounds like you had a helluva day, Mike. Two out of three is a pretty good score for such a day!
