Libby you did awesome!!!! And yes blood sugar and pressure do improve with weight loss so it's a win/win/win. Plus I know I feel better when I eat better; I think most people do. I'm so glad to hear your feel stopped hurting. Lisa, you have a great attitude and yes it was a loss, not a gain. Lisa, have you tried flavored seltzers? Not soda, I know, but sometimes can be satisfying; they have lots of flavors. I like pomegranate. |
Hi Hope, good to see you again! When big things happen in life (like moving!) it throws a curve ball into our weight loss efforts. But it's great to see that you are back and fighting!
Lisa, what helps me is to look back on my progress--I did lose weight. You've done great--you can't deny that. Think about how you could stay on track. When do you crave the soda? I'm thinking you need the energy--the sugar rush. Is there any other way you could get that--like with juice? Good job Libby--and way to go with the new goal! I'm distracted at the moment--I have too much going on right now with my parents' tenant issues. And we're leaving on vacation for Florida in only 2 weeks! I so wanted to get into a swimsuit again--please let me lose just a few more pounds! |
dschefer, I just don't like water or tea or anything that has little flavor. It seems that when I drink water, it doesn't matter how much I drink, that I always stay parched. When I drink soda my mouth feels cool and refreshed. ass backwards, I know. I do love juice. But that has just as many calories as soda. I could drink juice by the gallon. It's expensive though so I rarely buy it. If I buy a $2.50 half gallon of orange juice or apple juice, the family devours it and it's gone in less than a day. Yes, it has more nutritional value. But I can't justify buying it when it costs so much and goes so fast. I'm not used to the diet any more and the diet taste was gross today. I'm going to have to ease back into it. I did drink far less regular today than I have been.

well I lost .8 ounces but I didn't gain ! anyway I decided not to try to lose right now although I would love to. my goal right now is to not gain anything. new years is coming right up. I've been working on a diet I think I can do. is this thread going to start again at the new year?:

I hope that we will have another challenge in the new year to lose weight for Summer.

Hi all! So very sorry I didn't keep up with you all during this challenge. Even though I keep screwing up, I'm still determined to not give up.....maybe I'm a gluten for punishment!! ;) I will join in on the next one and hope to do better next time around!

My weight this morning was 242.4--that's BELOW where I wanted to be at 243 by the end of the year! That means I met my goal and I'm thrilled! Vicki

Good Job Vicki. I made my first goal but not my second. I have been wavering in the past few weeks and today I am up again. Come and join us in the Spring Challenge. It's just 12 weeks long and we can do a lot in 12 weeks.

Wow some of you did really well!!! And for those who didn't meet what they set out to do, not giving up is perhaps one of the most important goals to achieve.
As for me, I did not quite meet my goal, which I thought I would easily surpass haha. But I started at 138.8 and ended at 136.4 so, all things considered, with moving and the unbridled way I was eating, I am happy. |
