Vicky, so happy for you. It will be a year or more before I can say that I am close to my goal weight. Congrats to you.
Linda, I have been steadily gaining and losing weight for over 30 years and this fall when I went over 200 lbs. I decided I couldn't live like this any more.
I am making permanent changes in how I live my life and the weight is coming off. It might be a year and a half before I reach my goal but I will get there and you can too. Make a plan and stick to it. We all have hic ups now and then but don't let it take you away from your goal. I feel like this is my family who understands what my struggle is and we have a common goal. Let's do this together.

I've been off of this thread and not keeping up because I was moving, lots of stress with this and other family issues. My highest weight was 141, haven't been there in a while and I tried to catch that in time. Lots of bad food choices. But I have been walking and I AM NOT GIVING UP.

Hope, stay with the board. You have friends here. My health is good, knock on wood. I won't see my Dr. again till March unless something unforseen happens. He will be blown away by my changes. My feet don't hurt me since I've lost some weight and my blood sugar and pressure are improving. I feel like I have more energy and I can get around better. I used to ask DH to take the laundry basket down to the basement for me but I can do it myself now. I can only imagine how I will feel and look when I get to my goal weight.

look at Hope and Libby each losing nearing 2 lbs! You go girls! I didn't have but a .2 lb loss; however, I'm very glad it wasn't a gain. I'm going to get off regular soda and go back to diet. I think that might be what's making the difference in my lack of loss. We'll see what happens next week.
