Back from training and like I suspected, they had pizza, sodas and chips. I drank a diet soda and ate my snack that I brought. My training partner for the night asked me why I wasn't eating the pizza. I told her I loved pizza but it didn't love me back. We had a chuckle and then she admitted that she didn't need to be eating it as she was vegan but she was hungry.

Now to eat my scheduled snack and take my meds! Vicki

One day with my grandson does me in...two of them would be cause to consider committing myself!
Though I would consider it if it meant burning 1300 calories!
Good for you!

Question Decisions Decisions

Okay I'll try re: making a good decision today...I am not sure what it will be but I'll think of something!
I'm really irritable lately...short with my husband and others.
I think it might be mentalpause but I'm not sure.

Anyway, no weight loss yesterday...I did exercise last night
I found out I can only plank for 10 seconds or so and even that makes me out of breath.

It's nearly been 1 year since I've quit smoking...so I know it's just the weight.

I'll post tomorrow to say what my decision was...

Hope everyone is well and happy
Jenn

Time to get serious here.

Today's choices were taken away from me. I have been sent on errands. So I will choose to go to the Fort and pick up Vitamin E10 and UBQH.

I am not sore from horseback riding. That means I am getting the hang of it.

My decision today includes reading at least 2 chapters in the book 'Skinny Habits' and making notes since the book is borrowed, cooking a veggie stir-fry using up my old peppers, onions and zucchini, cooking meat for the rest of the week (so I won't have to keep heating up the kitchen) and getting as much done on my to-do list as I can so I'll be able to go to the movies later this week--I want to see 'San Andreas'! That means I gotta get busy! Vicki

Lightbulb Choices

My choices today are limited
But I've chosen today to:

Shop smart at the market this morning
Eat a banana before I go to the dentist to stop any sick feeling
Exercise this evening - either walking on the treadmill or here with a video

I lost .2 yesterday of which I'm quite proud
I exercised and pushed myself to move more quickly whilst sorting my housework/laundry etc.

I do hope everyone else is well and happy
Jenn

Wednesday choices:
I was running errands all day. Banking, visiting our business accountant, making dental arrangements, car insurance, and picking up vitamin supplements.
It is road crew season, so I was forced to decide to walk through our local heritage town rather than park close to where I was going. The bonus I got from that was a wonderful antique store visit and an extra mile, because that is how far away I had to park.

I made another choice while out there that was really a two edged sword, so to speak. I chose to have a healthy fruit and vegetable drink rather than an ice cold sugary drink, however from experience, juiced carrots are very high in calories. The apple, lemon, and ginger don't cut the high natural sugar content at all.

Today choices:
The beginning of my year anniversary doctor appointments. This week is the GP, so I don't expect to learn anything that I don't already know. Next week is the specialist, and the week after that is the doctor that helps me make sense of it all.

Nice to see so many good decisions being made! I had faith in us, I knew we could do it! Way to go, Annette, Jenn, Vicki, Libby!

I have no grandchildren, but I'd sure as heck borrow a few if it meant burning 1300 calories in a day, haha!

Annette: That's a lot of activity, you go girl!

Vicki: I've never heard of that book. Have you learned anything you'd like to share? Good job sticking to your plan in the midst of pizza and drinks! Self-discipline FTW!

Jenn: Way to go on the .2! Woot woot! And well done on quitting smoking. A number of us here on the M&A thread (me, included) are former smokers, so we know how tough it can be to stop. I'm impressed with planking -- I should give it a go one of these days.

Libby: I'm like you -- I'm not a runner, either. Last time I tried running outside, I didn't even make it to the end of the block (and huffed, puffed and panted my way back home, so embarrassing!). That was, um about 30 years ago. Last time I tried running inside, on a treadmill, I lasted about 90 seconds. That was last year and I was so impressed with myself, I stopped, figuring that was about as good as it was ever going to get haha. I suppose I *could* run, in an emergency, but it would have to be a pretty big one. Anyway, congrats to your runner son -- good job, kiddo!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Strategy for the Week (June 8-14):
  • 7-day Rolling Average calories = 1300-1400: 1315, 1343, 1330
  • 7-day Rolling Average water/tea, minimum 2500mL (10+ 8oz glasses): 3389, 3389, 3389
  • 7-day Rolling Average sodium = 1000-1400: 1064, 1041, 1089
  • 7-day Rolling Average sat fat = under 18g: 18, 18, 15,
  • Macro -- 7-day Rolling Average Fats = 50-60g: 57, 57, 51
  • Macro -- 7-day Rolling Average Carbs = 125-135g: 126, 129, 131
  • Macro -- 7-day Rolling Average Protein = 90-100: 96,102, 107
  • Macro -- 7-day Rolling Average Fiber = 30-40g: 33, 34, 35
  • Explore! Try something new or do some nutrition-related research at least 2 times:
Where the heck have I been? Haven't posted for a few days and the last report I did with my numbers was 100% off, starting with the dates (I had June 1-7 when it should have been June 8-14, obviously). Anyway, it's all properly updated above and I can get back on track.
Heh after all this talk of good decisions, I, personally, haven't made any earth-shattering ones so far this week. Little ones, yes (stick to the plan, don't give into to any temptations), but nothing major. I'll live vicariously through all your good ones! And the week's not over yet -- I still have time.
OH! My BIG news! I touched a new record low weight this morning. I'm a daily weigher, so I know it'll probably bounce back up tomorrow, but it was still a rush to see it. My "official" weigh days are Mondays, so I'm hoping even with daily fluctuations, it'll settle on this number (or lower!) on Monday!
Happy Thursday, everyone!
I didn't get to aqua fit. My neighbour had an emergency so we are going to try for next week.
