Hello 'daily-weigh-er-inners' ;) I'm up a little today but still down from Friday, so all is good. Still aiming for 133.6 by Friday and I still have today and tomorrow to make ait happen ;)
Libby - Thanks for challenging me to posting daily weigh ins! I think this is exactly what I needed to light that fire again! Bea - I would guess the fluctuation is because of that big drop in only a few days. That seems to happen to me too after a big drop....it's like your body has to accept this new weight before it's ready to release anything more. Terri - Awesome job getting back to your monthly low. Debbie: Love the attitude :D Bea: I'm with Debbie and you - that often happens to me too after a big drop. Who knows what it is? We are biological systems, and biological systems are messy. I'm a bit up from yesterday, but I have to admit relief when I stepped on the scale. Last time this month when I was exactly 180.4, next time I was on the scale I'd bounced way back up to 182.6. A small .4 bounce-up is fine. I had an unexpectedly high-carb dinner last night as well as a glass and a half of wine (logged faithfully) so that could be the reason as much as anything - high carb dinners are never good, our body takes those yummy carbs and stores them if they're not used right away. Still looking for 180.0 by Sunday, and I think I can do it. I'm up a bit more again today. Like Terri, I had some wine last night which always causes the scale to go up. So sad that I'm going back to work next week, but I also know that once I'm back at work my life will be scheduled again which makes staying on track easier in a way. Another big change that is about to happen is I'm going back on the pill. My cycle has become somewhat unbearable....I'll save you all from the details...but my doctor says going back on the pill will help to alleviate some of the stuff I've been dealing with. While I'm hopeful it may actually help, I'm also a little fearful that going back on the pill will cause weight gain. Time will tell! ;)

I stood on the scale 4 times to get this weight. :rolleyes:
August 25 - 318 August 26 - 319.4 August 27 - 318.6 August 28 - 317.2 August 29 - August 30 - August 31 - The truth is, I stood on the scale without putting my feet completely on, so I was teetering on nearly tiptoes in the middle of the scale. It showed 319.4. So to confirm, I reset, then stood properly and got the lower weight. Then I took my walk and stood on the scale again. I floundered a little and it flashed 318.4 before going to P-1. I lost the instructions a long time ago, so I can't trouble shoot. So I took one last try and came up with 317.2. This time I was one the scale properly. Normally, I can reweigh myself all day and still come up with the same weight as long as I am on the scale right. |

I recovered from my small bounce-up today, which I'm happy about, and it marks a new low for the month. I'd love to hit my Sunday goal and am SO CLOSE - hopefully it keeps me good over the weekend. I have a challenge today because I am meeting fellow new workers for beer/wine/snacks at 4:00. My plan is to stick to 1-2 light beers and go easy on the snacks (nibble nibble). I will log as faithfully as I can. I've got motivation this week being so close to a new decade, so I hope that's stronger than my growling stomach!
