Despite throwing my back out and still barely able to move (let alone exercise) I still lost 1.5 lbs this week. So happy about that! Gives me motivation to keep going on my eating plan. Actually, I even indulged in a medium chocolate shake from McDonald's one day (my first in a veeerrrry long time) and still lost weight. woohoo!

I don't know how long it will take for my back to get better. I can walk if I take small steps and don't extend my leg normally. I can lay down in comfort, but I can't sit in a chair for more than a minute or two or it seizes up.

Yes I apologize for my advice before. Sometimes you have to lie down and rest.

Another silver medal for my son today. He wants a new bike but with his job ending at the end of the year and no prospects in sight he can't afford to by a new bike. We can't help him out either because my DH will be losing his job at the same time as my son. Stress makes me eat. Eating makes me gain weight. I have to break this vicious cycle.

Debbie, I was doing laundry today and I thought about you. Do you have your new appliances yet? I can't imagine going without for a month especially with kids. I hope you get them today.

Bea, how was the movie?

Let's all have a good weekend.
My calories were around 1450 today. That's much higher than I expected.
I will try to get it around 900 tomorrow. Calorie cycling

dh requested Panda Express for this week's take out night. I normally get a double entree of orange chicken (sticky sweet, fried) and a whopping helping of chow mein. This meal normally comes to at least 1300 calories (depending on how generous the server is) plus ungodly amounts of sodium.

My NSV for the day...I chose a single serving cup of shanghai angus beef (with onions and asparagus in it) for just 220 calories! I was really happy with that. It was only 830mg sodium vs what I usually get...over 2200mg sodium. I call that a win. I had ONE bite of my daughter's chicken and ONE bite of my son's chow mein. I decided I was much better off with what I got.

So after that great decision on my way home from dropping my son off at his friend's house, I got a chocolate milkshake for dessert. *hanging head in shame*

I still saved a TON of grief from the sodium I didn't eat, and my total calories were still lower than my previous orders at Panda Express.
