Libby's 2014 Easter Challenge!!!
 
Our very own Libby has started an Easter Challenge! A few of us here on fitday participated in a New Years Challenge. It kept us motivated and focused to reach a new goal! Now that Spring is almost here, a new challenge is just what we need to keep forging forward!

All are welcome! The challenge runs from Friday March 7 - Friday April 18. If you want to join (at any point during the challenge!), copy and paste the participant list below and add your user name.

Me again :D In light of my turtle pace of losing weight, I've adjusted my Easter goal to something more practical for me. No point in setting myself up for failure right!

I'm making my goal 180 lbs by Easter. This is probably is unrealistic as I'm going to be at a family reunion for 1 1/2 weeks during this time....ah well. I'm still going to do my best. Speaking of vacations they really make me nervous. Workouts are nonexistent and eating is so difficult to maintain. Does anyone have vacation strategies for staying on track?

I am down today- yay me ;-) 192.8 on the scale this a.m. !!!!

I agree that eating is somewhat difficult when on holidays if your eating in restaurants. As for exercise, we always book a hotel that has a gym. if we're not at a hotel and staying with family, i bring my running shoes and hit the pavement for a run (or walk if you prefer) daily! I follow that up with some body weight exercises. Staying on track on holidays can be done, you just have to plan for it.

Is there a certain day we post for the easter challenge? Is it Fridays?

I've been thinking of ways to keep with my program while on vacation. It's going to be especially tough as I'll be staying with my brother at his house. He doesn't have a gym and I checked my gym but no locations nearby sadly. We will be going to Universal Studios one day though, so I'll be doing ALOT of walking that day. I'm thinking of bringing a workout dvd but it would be nice to have some privacy and I don't know if I'll get much of that while I work out. Maybe I can motivate my parents or my sister and her husband to go for a walk/jog while I'm there...that might be ok.

When workouts are hard to fit in, watch you diet! If you stay on track with your intake, you can get away with a week or so with little outtake. Walking will certainly help though! But keep that diet in check ;)

Thanks for the vote of confidence ladies! I'm going to do what I can this week to get as close to goal as I can! I have to weigh a day early though because I'll be out of town on Friday, so that means I only have 5 more days to make a difference! :eek: LOL!

Well....I'm back from my vacation...I've regained ... back up to 192.8 lbs...Could have been worse I suppose. Will be going back to the gym tomorrow.

With all the ups and downs I lost half a pound from the start weight.
I have injured my left foot and walking is difficult so I am doing upper body exercises till my foot is better. I hope that every one did well and made some progress.

Congrats Jenai for meeting your goal and losing the most weight in the challenge. You have had steady losses each week and are doing very well.
You will soon be in the 240's and can say good bye to the 50's. Excelent work.
Congrats Aimeet for going from the 190's to the 180's. You have done well.
We all lost weight. Yay for us.

Thanks Libby! I worked hard to overcome some tough things, but I pulled it together. Hopefully those lbs are gone forever this time around.
