Chocolate Oatmeal!!! YUM

You can buy a tiny bar to tide you over for 5 minutes at 200 calories... OR, eat a bowl of chocolate oatmeal for less calories than that. OMFG YUM. So here is how:

One serving of oatmeal is generally 140 calories, which Is the kind I buy, good old quaker oats, so prepare one serving, generally:

1 c. water
1/2 c. oats (or however It says to make It- 140 calories-1 serving)

Use an artificial sweetner, or sun crystals or what have you...

Then 1 tblsp. cocoa powder. 10 cal a tblsp.
This makes a bowl of tasty chocolate oatmeal, for about 150 calories... you can't go wrong! Especially If you are craving chocolate!!!

You can also mix up the same thing, with one egg white, and pour into the cups of a mini muffin trey and make a couple little muffin guys to throw in a bag for on the go. Nice huh?

You could also skip cocoa powder completely, and put in dried fruit, or fresh fruit, a sprinkle of cereal, make it plain, or add whatever you like, just dont forget to count the extra calories, but this makes for a FAR CHEAPER snack than a tiny bar from a box that wont tide you over... also oatmeal is a fat burner, contains protein-fiber-low fat/no fat, keeps you fuller longer anyways, all around trusty grain.

Let me know what you think!:D

I add cinnamin to my oatmeal -- can do away with any sweetner with it and some raisins. I plan on trying the chocolate variety - sounds good. Mary
