I struggled with weight loss for years and have tried many things. It wasn't until I adjusted my life style that I began to successfully lose weight and keep it off. I track my caloric intake using fitday.com and reduced my alcohol consumption. There is no magic food. There isn't a special diet drink. It's all about eating less calories than what you burn.
The best point I can give make sure you have fats in your diet. Fat is hunger satisfier. I tried the low fat diets and couldn't lose weight...I was never satisfied and I was always eating.
