How come 8oz. of chile beef soup doesn't have the same nutrional values as 1 cup?

There are two types of ounces - by weight and by volume (ie, fluid). One cup of water is 8 fluid ounces...this is not true of other liquids with different densities. If you aren't sure or feel like the measurement values aren't clear, just use volume and go by one cup of chili. The best way is by weight on a scale where you can measure by grams.
