FitDay PC and misleading advertising?

Hello,

I purchased FITDAY PC and it's a great tool however, 1 of my deciding factors was right off the page to purchase at: PC Weight Loss and Diet Journal | FITDAY

It clearly states it can report on Body Fat Percentage:

Advanced Tracking & Robust Reports
Set customized goals like water intake, and track your progress accordingly. A comprehensive set of reports lets you access and analyze personal stats like body fat percent and blood sugar.

This jumped out at me and I purchased it. I knew it could be used to track all the food I'm eating and weight.. however, the ability to get to my BodyFat% goal is really a focus of mine more than scale weight.

But I can't locate this anywhere in the program.. no reports, no input screens or anything for body fat %. I did send a note to fitday support and was quickly provided with this response:

"Unfortunately, the program is setup to only allow weight as a goal and not body fat percentage."

So why does the main page to purchase state it can do body fat percentage? Is this misleading advertising? YES.

However, better than fitday having to remove that .. why not build it into program similar to how we can just enter a scale weight and show a graph for it.. sounds fairly simple to do and perhaps allow it to be shown on overview page or reports? This would be great especially for those close to scale weight goal and looking to focus on sculpting (less fat/more muscle).

Thoughts? False Advertising? Like the idea of this being added and well, fitday "delivering on what they are saying" so it's not FALSE ADVERTISING ?

again.. I'm a fan of what I see.. just like to see it match what they state which influenced my purchase.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave, this is unfortunate. There are a couple of workarounds, if you have Premium, you can set up custom fields on-line and use one for tracking fat percentage. It will not sync with PC, however. This is what I use to track fat percentage. Alternately, one could recored it in the Diary function of PC. You'd have a record of it, but no facility to generate a report.

One would hope that the advertisement (or better yet, the software) would be modified sooner, rather than later to reflect this.

Regards,
Michael
