Question about alcohol and FD PC?

Default Question about alcohol and FD PC?

I notice when i do a report on daily calories there is a listing for alcohol but when you go to enter a custom food there is no entry for alcohol.. Am i missing something?

Hmmm--well, that's interesting. What type of custom food would you need to enter alcohol? Alcohol is pretty much alcohol, calorie wise. Granted, different types of beer have varying amounts of calories but hard liquor is pretty much the same.

I've used the alcohol entry to input the alcohol in a Coors Light for a custom food. So the alcohol input is there... I'm confused by the question about it not being there for custom foods.

If it's on the free web version surely it must be there for the PC version.

Yup, you can add any ingredient to a custom food in PC AND it does show alcohol. I just created a custom food w/vodka as an ingredient and it shows the cals and alcohol percentage.

And here's a good site that will calculate how much alcohol in grams you have in that alcoholic drink, so it can be entered as grams (thanks to HC):
