Trial version?
 

Is there a trial version of the desktop software? I'm on a really tight budget so I'd like to be able to try it out before deciding to buy it. I have tried a number of similar products in the past but I usually find that the food databases are tailored to the US and much of what we eat/buy over here isn't in the database. I realise I can add my own foods, but there's a lot of time involved in that if you have to do it for the majority of foods.

A trial would be good.

I'm pretty sure there's no trail available. I love the PC version and pretty much use it exclusively now. My only reservation would be the database--it you're not happy with the on-line one, you probably won't like the PC version any better.

One great feature of the PC version is the "recipe builder" where you can drag and drop multiple ingredients into a new custom food really easily. I know building a custom food database is time consuming, but you only have to do it once.
