Major bug in nutrient calculation?
I think I've found a bug in the way FitDay computes total nutrition. Look at the entry for "Milk, skim or nonfat, 0.5% or less butterfat". Now look at the label: 25% of your RDA for Vitamin D. The standard RDA for vitamin D is 5 micrograms, so 25% of this would be 1.25 micrograms. Now look at the "Total Nutrition" tab. It lists 2.5 micrograms, or 50% of RDA. This is double the amount it should be.
This is not the only area where there is a discrepancy. All of the nutrients seem to have higher values under Total Nutrition, which are clearly used in computing the daily %RDA/%AI graph and the nutrient reports. This bug seems to be present in all or many food entries. This may explain why for many foods in the database, FitDay reports much higher nutrient values than the labels do.
Could we please get the bug or bugs fixed? It makes the micronutrient info on FitDay nearly useless.
Note: all of these computations are for exactly one serving, and a roughly 2000 kcal diet (standard for an adult male).
I have also cross-posted this to the Reports forum, since I'm not sure where the cause lies.

I noticed this too
I recently entered in my own custom food. Each serving was 96% of Vitamin A's RDA. Yet it took a 3 servings before it registered this high. I eat based upon what FitDay says, so discrepancies are worrysome and makes me wonder how accurate the rest is.

I entered 96% in custom food for iron. It shows up under the Total Nutrition tab as 17.3mg, 216%. I've been thinking for a year that my iron intake has way high.
Also, updated intakes are not always reflected in the pie chart for carb/protein/fat/alchohol

The RDA's change. On 30th November 2010 new limits were set.
The RDA listed under "Total Nutrition" is 10 mcg, not 5 mcg. Twenty five % of 10 mcg. is 2.5 mcg. so I don't think there's a problem.

Really damaging to FitDay reputation...
here’s another: entering a vitamin [Centrum Silver, Men 50+): package says Vitamin B12 - 100 mcg / 4,167%DV. I enter it with other foods (0 -as in ZERO- B12 content amongst them all), and look at total B12 for the entries: 200mcg / 10,000%DV.
Wondering if I’m (we’re) going to have to double check every entry!
Sidebar: the tables list Pantothenic acid as a nutrient, but we are not given chance to enter a number in a custom food that we are making. This has been brought up before, needs to be addressed, sooner rather than later...

Approaching 11 years since the first post above about our inability to log/get info on pantothenic acid. I found a tip from a mod in 2015 that instructed us to go to the field(?) labeled “more nutrient types for custom fields” where we could enter this data. But no luck finding it today. Is it a valid tip? Can we access this somewhere? Sure would end a long string of ‘no responses’ if we could...
