Apparent micronutrient error in database food
I just bought Wheat Germ (Quaker Oats brand, KRETSCHMER) and on the bottle it says "An Excellent Source of Vitamin E". It lists Vitamin E as 20% under nutrition facts, for 2 tablespoons.
Yet the Wheat Germ (same brand and type) in the database lists Vitamin E as 0% for 2 tablespoons. http://www.fitday.com/fitness/FoodVi...y=s-sr19-f8366 I can understand small differences, but based upon this huge difference it appears that Vitamin E was not keyed into the database when this food was created, therefore this needs to be corrected. |
I didn't know the germs carry Vitamin E. :D

Is that corny joke organic or GMO in origin? Whoops, looks like I just sunk to the corn fields myself. :D |
Bumping this thread. The apparent error remains. Just to be clear, I recalculated the Wheat Germ using 12 pounds. It STILL shows the Vitamin E % to be zero. Again, this can't possibly be considering it's "An Excellent Source of Vitamin E".
