Activities

When I go to the activities page, it has my lifestyle already in and it is marked with 24 hours, so if I add in say walking for 50 minutes it gives me an error, how do I either delete the lifestyle part or put in different hours so I can add in the activities I did that day? Sorry kinda new at this. Thanks for any help. Mary

Hi, and welcome to FitDay and the forums!

"Lifestyle" is 24 hours (supposedly with 8 hours of sleep figured in). Any activity you add will replace part of that 24 hours.

For instance, if you add 50 minutes of exercise, FitDay will add the DIFFERENCE between your normal "lifestyle" calorie burn and the total of the exercise calorie burn (so you'll never go over 24 hours, nor will you "double dip").

Now, I suspect you may be trying to add 50 minutes as "50:00" or something like that and getting the error. To add fifty minutes of exercise, you must enter it as 00:50. One hour would be 1:00 and so forth.

If you still have trouble, let us know.

Regards,
Michael

Thank You Michael, that worked. I guess I still don't quite get it because in the 24 hours before I entered anything it said I used over 2000 calories for the lifestyle I entered, so does that mean I actually burned 2000 calories, for doing mostly sitting and some movement?

Mary, if you feel the 2000 number is high, try to factor in slepp, that will bring the number down.
