Time Zone
 

I am trying to change my time zone on my profile. I chose the time zone from the drop down and then clicked on the save button. But it won't change. I tried using the save button at the bottom as well as at the top. I tried logging out and logging back in and trying again. I selecting and saving a bunch of times, but it still won't change. Any ideas? Thanks.

I don't have an answer. I haven't paid attention to times so I didn't even notice. I have the same problem when I try to change the time zone in my profile. I noticed that if I change to 'GMT - (whatever number applies to the time zone you seek),' that seems to work. I was able to save that.

The quick fix would be:
1) Google 'What is GMT'
GMT: Greenwich Mean Time - World Time / Time in every Time Zone
2) Choose a city that applies to your location (East Coast of U.S., so NYC in my case)
3) then see how that city's time related to GMT (in the case of NYC, GMT-4:00)
4) Change time zone in your profile to that. My change was saved when I did that. I don't know if it works with all choices.

It saved it but doesn't seem to be effective. My time is still wrong for these comments!

No matter what I change it to, whether I can save the change or not, my time is still wrong.

I'm having trouble re-producing this issue. I changed my timezone settings, refreshed this page and the times keep changing accordingly as expected.

For those having problems, does the setting at least "stick" in options? or does it keep reverting back?

I was unable to save the change. Then I found a time zone that fit my local time zone (GMT-4) and I was able to save that. But it didn't change the erroneous time reports for my posts.

I then chose a time zone that had 'GMT +4.' That also didn't change my time.

Experienced this both in Google Chrome and Firefox.
