Sounds like a good plan, Ed
sw, the pain was on the outside of my knee caps, sort of like, when you sit down, there's kind of a space between where the thigh bone meets the lower leg bone meets the patella, and it was right in there. In any case, it didn't last after I stopped running or anything, just as I was running did I feel the pain. Ed, your plan sounds very do-able. As for me, on whim last night,I registered for a Super Bowl 10k race this upcoming Sunday. Registration was closing so I figured what the heck, I did it last year in 54:50. The weather forecast looks really good for next weekend and it should be a fun "flat" race. |
Did a 5 miler yesterday after work -averaged 10min pace, yikes!

My goal is to be able to run/jog an entire mile without slowing down. Being overweight makes this incredibly difficult, but I am slowly making my way :)

I ran my first 10k of the year on Sunday and had a pace of 8:55- not incredibly fast, but it was a consistent pace. Finish time was 55:20, my fastest 10k time from last year was 45:35, so I've got some work ahead of me. |
Ran a 6 miler this morning along the river and then went to the gym to work on my legs some more.

Ran three miles today. Had some slight aches in my knee, but not sharp pains. I think the pain has to do with how I distribute the load, because I can really feel a difference between the two legs. My right leg tends to get most of my weight on the ankle, whereas my left takes it on the knee. Not really sure how to fix it.

Ran 3 miles yesterday after work, started to run out of steam by the 3rd mile.

Did a 10 mile run along the river this morning (1:55)

Did another 10 miler this morning, 1:58

Ran a 1/2 marathon yesterday in 2:37- kinda disapointed in my time because I ran it in 2:06 last year, but at least I finished:) The temps were in the high 70's with a slight breeze so that may have been a factor. I placed 1373 out of 2084 runners so I guess that wasn't too bad...
I'm gonna chill from running competitively for a bit, I just got a Kayak and I ready to do some paddling and some fishing. The Striper run is nearing and I wanna get out there catch some fish:D |
