Hands Swelling?
This may seem trivial but it is a real drawback for me when it comes to exercising. When I walk whether it is outdoors or on the treadmill, my hands swell to the point that I cannot make a fist. It is uncomfortable and distracting. Does anyone else have this happen and, if so, what have you found to relieve the swelling? On my treadmill, I rest my hands on the console which helps a bit but I can't do that outdoors. I don't notice any problems with my feet. Any suggestions?
Background: I am 62 year old female with no medical problems who lost 115 pounds in less than a year in 2007 through diet and exercise. About 80 of those pounds have creeped back on through lack of exercise and poor portion control. I am determined to repeat my success and maintain my goal this time. Thanks! |
It seems to be pretty common. It happens to me when I walk outside in the heat. I came across this when I googled it- Swollen Hands and Fat Fingers While Walking- Why Your Hands are Swollen and Bloated

Thank you, that's just what I wanted to know.
