Nice SW. Being away from home I haven't done much other than walk with family. But yesterday I got to go for a 3 hour kayak tour with my cousin in Galvaston Bay. Perfect day, a little overcast, no wind, & a chance to catch up with the cousin.

My arms and shoulders are a little stiff this morning, so I feel like I got a workout. Tonight we get back on the train for a 36hr ride back to SoCal. I love train travel! It is a great way to see the country, meet some strangers and relax with a good book - highly recommend it!

Riding the train sounds like fun, I've always wanted to do that.
Went for a bike ride yesterday (11/24) and did 16 miles.
Today I went for a 20 mile run .Everything was all good but my calves started to cramp at around mile 17, so I had to stop, stretch and walk 2 miles, then I ran the last mile. It took me 4 hours and 45min. Burned a whopping 2600 calories.

Went for a soggy run yesterday (12/2)- burned about 3500 calories.

Was that your marathon SW?

I haven't had a chance to run much with work and travel getting in the way. I am definitely feeling the lack of aerobic exercise around my middle . But I know a couple weeks back in the routine and that little fat layer will fall right back off again.

Just checking in. Work and our Firearms business has been really busy. Haven't been to the gym lately. Good to see Pam and SW are hanging in there. Not much hope for the gym this week. Maybe I can get some things done and hit it again next week.

I did manage to lose some more weight, even without the gym. Now at 217.4!!!

I hit the gym last night for about an hour. Mostly worked on core, back and deltoids and rode the bike for 16 min.
My legs are still a little sore, so I probably won't work them out till next week.

Checking in again. Just so you know I haven't fallen off the wagon, lol. I haven't made the gym lately but I did get my shed built. (10x12 with a barn type roof, I got the shingles done last Saturday before it snowed last night. Then finished the doors on Sunday in 20 degree weather.) I have managed to eat well and lost another 1.2 pounds. I am now at 216.2!!!

I know this is a hard time of year to diet but I'm wishing you all the best and a big dose of moderation!!

Ron, Impressive building skills! and your doing it in the cold

I've been hitting the gym everyday this week and I'm finally feeling like I have some energy and not sore all over. I did not realize how much I'd be drained after running the 26.2.
I was finally able to do some squats, leg presses and lunges last night, my left ankle is still sore, so running is out of the question for the time being.

SW;
Congratulations on your Marathon!! Was it your first? I think it is good to listen to your body, especially after something like your marathon. Give yourself time to recover.

Yes, It was my first and I also took the following 2 days off of work to "rest".
The timing of my off days coincided with a new pistol pick up, so I went shooting, which was very relaxing
