Post How To: Muscle Up Without Injuring Your Shoulders

https://youtu.be/fTNuP86bIDc

Calisthenic movements are rising in popularity and they are some of the best exercises you can implement into your workout routine. However a lot of these movements require learning various techniques to avoid all possibility of injury.

With a muscle up it is important to first work you basic pull ups and get those up to speed before learning the assisted muscle up i show off in this video. It is important to take each of these steps seriously and not rush anything to achieve your goal.

Too many clients i have encountered who have gotten shoulder impingement's and injuries from doing muscle up with pure brute force and no technique. Break the cycle on injuries and learn it the proper way!

Rows are a good exercise to use for some of those important scapular muscles. To perform this exercise, use a band or cable row machine. Pull your shoulder blades together as your arms come back. Be sure not to shrug up.
