Sauna Bag Outfits do they work?

Hi, I am a newbie, just signed up and yesterday I was at walmart and bought those sauna outfits. They look like bag outfits and you wear them while you walk and they make you sweat like crazy. Has anyone ever tried them? If so, how was the result? Is it better to use those while walking? Better and faster results?

It's likely you're not losing anything except for water. More sweating doesn't mean you're burning more calories. Sitting outside in hot weather won't make you lose fat any faster than sitting outside in cold weather. I'd return it and get your money back.

look up studies on suanas and weight loss. It does help a bit- your heart has to work a small amount harder to keep your body temp down. Mostly, though- I use the sauna at my gym when I've consumed too much salt and I want to get rid of some by sweating it out and replenishing afterwards with just plain water.

for beauty

Also, I read that if you're going for a photo shoot, a sauna session the night before helps (20 min in - 10 min out - 20 min in). Then again, so does a diuretic diet the week leading up to it, as well as doing some quick calisthenics immediately before. :)

Otherwise, it's mainly for health reasons -- glowing skin, respiratory training, etc. I prefer the steamroom with rubbing salts - great exfoliation.

I have seen people use them during their warm-ups. They strip as soon as they get their heart rate up and their sweat on, and then they start their workout.

One thing that I would advise would be to consume vast amounts of water and to not wear them too often for fear of damaging your kidneys.

Personally, I've heard too many horror stories of young wrestlers wrecking their systems for me to be able to do more than a nice long stretching session in the sauna (when I had access to one) after a "Go Hard or Go Home" work out.
