Anyone else doing an round of the HCG Protocol?
I'm on my last round hoping to loose my last 40 lbs

Hcg

Where do you get yuor HCG? I want to try this but cannot find where to buy it.

skinnybynow 01-08-2010 04:12 PM

I'm getting ready to start my second round of P2. Lost 31 lbs on my first go round. I can't speak highly enough of hcg - it's the only thing that has truly worked for me.

HCG Protocol Round 1

I started my Round 1 injections on January 4th. I will be doing a 42 day, six-week round. I have done this before, but used another clinic. This one is less expensive, but further to drive. We'll see if their HCG is as potent as the other clinic I went to. The last time I lost a little over 20 pounds, but lost four dress sizes during the first round.

New to HCG and Fitday

Hi, I am new to both Fitday and HCG. My Doctor (who lost over 60lbs on it) started both myself and a coworker on it. We started last Friday with Friday and Saturday being our load days, and the LCD starting on Sunday.

I am doing really good about keeping track of my calories, and am trying really hard to make notes in my journal.

Mornings are the worse for me, as I start work so early (7am) and usually drink a couple of cups of coffee with skim milk.

My only other setback so far has been with exercising. I normally workout on my wii, and last night was the first night I tried that while being on the HCG, and it kicked my butt. I went online looking to see if exercise was recommended and 50% yes and 50% said no.

I also (per my doctor's recommendation) had to increase my fiber.

hollyhock725 01-25-2010 07:50 AM

New to HCG as well

I am 14 days in - Phase 2 - on my first round. I am struggling with the variying shift of my job, (graveyards, days, swings, etc) so I am eating at different times and not able to get into a routine. I still lost about 5 pounds the first week, and am down 4 more this week. But... with the rediculous relationship I have with food, I get somewhat crabby because I have the WORST cravings! self control has been better than on past diets, and I am cautiously optimistic. But GOOD LORD, how I want some mashed potatoes!

mamacass73 01-30-2010 09:32 PM

I have just taken 8 weeks off from my first round. I lost about 20 lbs in 30 days. It truly is amazing..
There is a Women's Wellness Clinic in the town where I live. The cost for a 40 day round is $110.00 for the first time and about $65.00 for any round after that.
Does anyone receive this in pre-loaded syringes?? The clinic is just starting to do this.... Just wondering if this is a normal protocol?
Anyhoo.. Good luck to all ...

dscott7811 02-02-2010 08:37 AM

I started the shots earlier this month. Having a hard time with the food restrictions on my protocol. VERY limited on what to eat, and only 500 calories. I have lost about 10 lbs in 14 days, but have gained the last couple of days. I am on my period so I am hoping that is why.

I am starting a different protocol this weekend and using drops instead of shots. Much cheaper, and I have been told that they are just as effective. Plus it is 750 calories and a ton more food to chose from. Anyone else doing the stimulus drops?

alisasings 02-02-2010 04:51 PM

HCG Drops

I just started my drops today, so this is day one of my 'load' days. The protocol I'm using is the one from 'Pounds and Inches', so the food choices are very limited and it's only 500 calories per day.
I've read many times that if you're on the drops and feeling really hungry, you should add a few more drops to what you're already taking.

dscott7811 02-02-2010 09:43 PM

I heard that you can take additional drops to stop the hunger as well. The DR that was giving the presentation said he did not know if that really worked or if it was just in your mind, but a lot of the girls there said they do it.

I am having to do yet another apple day. I have a killer headach because I am hungry. That is the only sucky part about this diet as far as I can tell - the apple and steak days.

ceciliaj71 02-10-2010 05:39 AM

Mamacass73,
The cost of a 40 day round at your clinic is amazing! Only $110? What is included with that? Weekly or Daily shots? Does that include B12 shots also? I started a dr. supervised 6 week program and the cost including my hcg was almost $500. How is your clinic able to do it for so little?

dscott7811 02-10-2010 06:22 PM

Ya, that price is crazy. I paid $500 for the shots as well. I only paid $140 for 40 days woth of drops, so it is much cheaper.

I just started the diet yesterday - that means 3 load days since I did not go gorcery shoping in time. Lost 2 lbs between yesterday and today. Hopefully that keeps up.

mamacass73 02-11-2010 08:06 PM

At my clinic they claim they aren't making much profit so that is why I assume it is so cheap. I have a feeling they may raise the price after they get more clientele but for now it is pretty reasonable. It includes a 40 day round doing a daily shot. At first they gave you 40 syringes with a premixed vile but now they are just giving you 40 pre-loaded syringes. They write a prescription for a B12 shot and syringes.. My insurance covered most of that but you are required to pay for that yourself. Which if I recall it was around $30.00.
I am glad it is so cheap but you are pretty much on your own after you buy it at my clinic so the professionalism and nurturing attitude is lost with the cheap price.. No weigh-in's or common courtesy call backs or even convenient answering of any questions...lol but I'm ok with that.. So maybe some higher prices include a "program" which mine definitely does not..
It is near Branson,MO so if anyone is nearby.. I will give you any info I have.

shelleyatyler 02-12-2010 05:25 PM

Finishing my first round of phase 2 with the drops lost 23 pounds in 40 days. I was a little disappointed because everybody was talking about the 30 pounds in 30 days, but it was more that .5 lbs per day and I lost lots of inches, didn't measure, just can tell by the clothes. I wasn't really hungry, just empty by the end of the day. I would do it another 40 days if I could.

dscott7811 02-12-2010 06:25 PM

That is the nice thing about the drops I am on.. you don't have to have a rest period in between rounds. It is homeopathic, and supposedly your body does not become immune to it. I think I am going to do 80 days. I have 80 lbs to loose, so maybe I can get it all off with this. Then back to the gym to tone, tone, tone!

When I was on the shots I only lost 12 lbs in 20 days. With the drops I have lost 4 lbs in 3 days so far. I am sure most of that is water weight since I was doing load days, but it keeps me motivated.

ceciliaj71 02-13-2010 10:19 PM

Thanks for the info. I agree, the higher cost must be because of the hand holding. Which is fine this first time through, but for my next 6 weeks I will probably go alone.
The diet is great. I can't say enough about it. I smiled when I read the post where the dieter had lost 2 pounds in 2 days and they were hoping the weight loss continued. Boy are they in for a pleasant surprise. It's day 6 for me and I have lost 8 pounds.
Good Luck to Everyone, keep me posted , I find it encouraging

HCG is the best way to lose weight!

I'm on my last round (3rd) of injectable HCG. I began this round at 151 and I'm going for the full detox - get rid of all abnormal fat and all of its stored toxins - or the end of 49 days, whichever comes first. At 5'6", it'll probably be in the 120's. I don't have hunger but I'm missing the variety of taste, which is why I did 2 shorter rounds with time in between. Round 1, I did 23 days, then 5 weeks off, then Round 2, I did 24 days and 5 weeks off. Looking back, I think I should have done the longer rounds because it took longer, I had to try and stabilize twice (didn't before R3 and gained 5 lbs), and you risk gaining in between. It is SOOOO important to stabilize. If you don't stay at your last injection weight (LIW) consistently, you will gain. I would not recommend homeopathic drops. It goes against the principles of homeopathy and it is snake oil. It may suppress your appetite but it's not working on your hypothalamus to adjust your weight setpoint. As for the average loss per day, it is dependent upon individual factors: how much fat you currently have on your body; how much energy your body needs per day; how close you are to your normal weight. Research 'leptin' which is the key to hcg and the appetite being suppressed. If you go on Facebook, search "HCG Weight Loss", click on the icon with the green apple and look at all entries posted by Robin. She is excellent in her knowledge and research and talks about why people lose at different rates. As you near your normal body weight, you may experience more hunger due to leptin levels and the mitochondria becoming more efficient. But everyone is different. If you don't change your eating habits though and eat in the same way that caused you to mess up your hypothalamus, then you will gain the weight back. HCG allows you to lose the weight very quickly and gives you a CHANCE to change your approach to food. After experiencing HCG and having friends successfully lose massive amounts of weight over such a short period, I can't understand why anyone would do anything else. Find Robin's site on youtube too, search the mind body method or go here YouTube - toneathleticclub's Channel . Persevere, follow the protocol to a T and it will do exactly as Pounds and Inches outlines. All deviations from the protocol will give you varying results, but if you follow the 'recipe' you'll lose it all. May everyone have great success.

Places to buy

Watch this to avoid overpaying.

Watch out for the scamming clinics that look all legit, give you a shot 1-3 times a week and up the calories of the VLCD. This will prolong the weightloss, which unnecessary, and keep you paying for the extended amount of time. You can do the protocol for $100 easily.

w104tst 02-21-2010 12:58 PM

I'm on my first phase under a doctor's supervision. I give myself injections every morning. I've been sticking to chicken, fish, and shrimp. I will occasionally have ground beef. I initially messed up on my vegetables because I was using a food scale and eating 8 OZ, not paying attention to the fact that 1 cup of vegetables is different that 1 cup of fluid. Luckily vegetables don't have many calories. I alternate between cucumbers, cabbage and spinach. Now that I know that I don't have to eat 8 oz of onion and tomato, I will start eating so different vegetables as well!

My real problem is not be able to force myself to drink enough water. My doctor wants me to drink up to 1 gallon. I can't work if I'm running to the bathroom all the time!

Does anyone has recipes to share?

crazymama5 02-26-2010 01:02 PM

I love HCG! I am on my 3rd round and have lost 50 pounds so far since August 2009. I am doing the homepathic My Fat Cure spray. It is $77 plus shipping for a 40 day supply.

Also, there is a great site where everyone on it is doing hcg of some kind. There is lots of information and support there. It is at link removed Happily Thinner After - Happily Thinner After[/url]. I post in the Let's Chat thread a lot and I have a journal over there! There is also a BootCamp for all 3 phases where you can get one on one help with any issues that you are having. This is a paid service (I think it is $15 a month and cheaper if you pay for multiple months at a time). I am not in BootCamp currently but a lot of my friends are and swear by it! Hope to see you all there!

Hcg

I have done the HCG diet and now I am on maintenance. The maintenance portion will be a life long portion.. I recently lost another 8 lbs by keeping my carbs low and beginning a weight lifting routine. I've always hated the idea of weight lifting because of all the machines and look many body builder have but I started using "Shovel glove" exercise. I can do them at home with just sledgehammer. Check them out on link removed or on Youtube. I am wondering about how I will do once a actually achieve my goal weight. I am really close and hope I can maintain.

Homeopathic HCG WORKS GREAT!!!

I started on homeopathic hcg drops ($37 including s&h from changes for life dot com) on 8/22/09 weighing 206 after loading for 2 days. Today, I weigh 157.4. My last dose weight was 151, after 2 rounds, and an average loss of .5 per day. Hunger for the first few day, but drink lots of water and hot tea (Yogi Fasting) and you will be fine. I am having trouble with Phase 3 (stabalization) which is why I am here, tracking my food. Once I get stable, I will probably do another 21 day round to try to get to about 130 or so... I found out that I was not eating enough!!! Can you imagine, never in my life has that been my problem. I am 44, and have dieted since I was on Weight Watchers with my mom when I was 12!
HCG works and can change your life, it has changed mine!
Blessings to all,
Kathy :D

I live near Branson and would like the name and address of the clinic if you don't mind.

kel145 03-29-2010 09:37 PM

Hi I am thinking of getting some of the HCG, how much do you take per day and if I order it from Reliable Rx do they also sell the syringes? The clinics in our area are charging $600 - 750 to get started so I figure I should just do it on my own. Thanks!!

ShannonMargaret 04-09-2010 02:26 PM

750 calories?

I am on the drops and have to be on 500 calories. I would recheck all the information you have and look at some other HCG websites.... Everything I have received and all the places I am part of say drops are 6 - 6times a day and a 500 calorie ..... as much water as possible and nothing after 6 pm....

Hi All

This is my first post here and I am on my second round of hCG. The first round I did 21 days during the xmas holiday. lol Yeah I know not the best time to ever start a diet. Well I managed and I lost 20lbs I was using the homeopathic drops (11 drops 3x a day).

I waited till the end of March to start my second round to see if I could keep the weight off and I DID. This time I went with the PURE hCG drops (3 drops 4x a day). I get mine from Gaurdian of Edan and they are a lot less expensive than most sites are charging for theirs. So far I am down just over 10lbs this round but I have had a few unexpected nonplan days :( . I didn't do to bad I didn't gain any weight but I didn't lose any weight for 2 days after :o . When I started I was losing about 2lbs a day and I am planning a 45 - 60 day round this time depending on drop immunity because I want to lose 100+ pounds.

moonbabi71 04-17-2010 06:22 AM

Hello

Also my first post here... was surprised to find HCG here as I didn't think it was very popular lol i was wrong!
I am on Maintenance after 1 round of 32 days of HCG. starting another round in 2 weeks or so. lost 25 pounds and 29 inches.
I am using fitday as a journal to keep track of 1500 calories/day and I am still having trouble getting it all in!! Imagine that!!
Using the homeopathic drops .5 cc's 3x/day

Am so glad I found HCG! I never thought something would actually work. I am on a few HCG sites thru facebook that guide you, some i like, some i don't.

I am looking for a buddy or two to do this with side by side as I have a few more rounds to do. can't figure out how to add someone on fitday  as a friend to share journals etc with so any help would be appreciated.

Hubby is also doing it but, it's not the same with him as another friend outside the home lol and he is on the protocol while im on maintenance.. we are opposite each other /sigh

also, any of you can add me on facebook : [email protected]
the more the merrier just mention hcg and ill accept lol

Starving!

I am on my 5th day including the 2 load days. I am STARVING! I know I've lost a pound but haven't weighed in except for the 2nd day so it's probably more. I am using the injection through a physician.

The first 2 official days I ate 3.5 oz of tuna w/Romaine (2 cups instead of 1.5) 2 small apples and a Wasa cracker.

Last night I ate 3.5oz of tuna with 2 cups of broccoli instead of Romaine. I felt a little better then.

And here I am ravenously hungry and a little shaky. Any advice? :o)

nikki.w 04-18-2010 02:00 AM

Hi Flittle you may need to up your dose I do the drops and I was sort of hungry the first time around so I was instructed to up my dose because you shouldn't be hungry. Are you getting enough water? You should be drinking half your weight in ounces. I know it seems like a lot but it really does help with the weight loss.

Personally I avoid tuna a 6oz can of albacore is 2.5 serving with 70 calories and 1 gram of fat per serving, so that's 175 calories, and 3 grams of fat per can. If I'm gonna have that many calories I'm gonna have a steak. lol As for the romaine I eat it everyday I also mix in the baby field greens and instead of using a measuring cup I actually weight it out 2 cups is 85 grams which is about 3 ounces. I do splurge on the lettuce and the first few weeks I do 5oz at a time which is about 40 calories.

I am actually having the exact opposite problem the last few days. I'm not hungry and can't get down the 500 calories so starting tomorrow I will add an extra protein in the morning and see how it goes.

ceciliaj71 04-18-2010 06:42 AM

Flittle
I agree, if you are truly hungry vs. head hungry then you need to up your dose. Truly hungry is "I will eat anything including brussell sprourts", head hungry is when you stand in front of the refrig. and say "that doesn't sound good" or "I don't want that right now". Remember when using HCG at the proper doseage your blood is full of "food". It is getting it from your fat stores. You should not feel hungry. Good Luck!

SleepGirl73 04-19-2010 09:26 AM

Hi all

Hello all..

I've ordered the drops, and recieved them. I started April 3rd, and in 7 days I lost 6.4lbs and 9 inches. I had to temporarily go off the HCG protocol because I am diabetic and I started to have low blood sugar problems, so my endocrinologist who is monitoring me on this HCG program, had me go off for 7 days. I haven't gained any inches, but I did gain 1 lb.

He suggest that I follow a low calorie version of the south beach diet since my body obviously needs some sugar in my diet. Has anyone tried a higher calorie diet with HCG protocol of say 800-1000 calories per day?

I really want to lose about 75lbs. I am 5ft tall and currently 200lbs (scale runs back and forth between 199.8 and 200.2). I started a diet and exercise program last year and lost 40lbs. I want to get down to about 120'ish.

I figure I would do 2 rounds maybe 3 and I should be close to my goal weight if can figure out the best way to manage my blood sugars.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Sharon

If you read Pounds & Inches dy Dr, Simeion the creator of the hCG diet he advises diebetics to add a serving of protien in the morning for blood sugar issues.

FREE HCG Diet Info - Dr. Simeon's Pounds and Inches - FREE eBook!

Anyone doing the hCG diet needs to read this book. Even if you are dr. supervised or going through a clinic to get the injections. There are to many variations of the original diet out there that allow foods that are not on the original diet. Also another trend I have found is that most are only having "2 load days" the original is "3 load days" and there is a reason for this read the book and find out. This is a downloadable free copy of the book. I like this copy because it includes charts to log you daily weight loss and dosage amounts. Besides the charts and good information this copy is downloadable and it includes lots of hcg freindly recipes too.

ok Sorry for the rant ;-)

I am having a problem eating the 500 calories and was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem? By the time I finish my protien I can barely eat anything else and because I am not hungry I forget to eat. I have noticed lately like for the last week I am lucky to eat 350 calories a day.

I am thinking of cutting back on my drops from 4 drops 3x a day to 3 drops 3x a day. Whats the opinion on this, and has anyone else experienced this type of problem?

because someone asked I said I would share
I am female and 40yrs old, 5'2" tall

I love HCG.. I just finished a 23 day round and lost 15 pounds. I am planning on doing another round, but first I want to get back in the habit of exercising and building some muscle, so it will work better.

I have this to be true with me.

1) I platuea around right before my period and ovulation. all the other days I am losing weight. I can get quite discouraging if you are not expecting it, so if this happens to you, its normal.

2) your first round will probably be your most potent. For me, my first round I was hungry all the time, but I lost the most weight. Previous rounds were not AS successful, but still very successful.

I made the mistake of not making exercise a priority. After HCG, I no longer had an appetite, and I thought I could control my weight just through healthy diet, but what happened, is that my calories became so restricted, that my body no longer knew how to metabolize carbs.

I learned the hard way, that although this protocal rocks! At the end of the day, I still did not have the body I was expecting. I was lighter, but not as sculpted.

Before doing this last round, I hit the gym for 8 weeks. I must've been eating at least 3000 calories a day, without any consequence.

I did a round of HCG, and the fat just melted off, you can see some parts of my abs!!!!

I recommend doing yoga, or some sort of soft body building to keep up your tone, and then making sure you eat your protein after your workout. Your results will be a lot better.

mgerl74 04-20-2010 03:51 PM

On day 4 lost 5.8lbs. as of this morning. I haven't really been hungry but I did have a huge headache the 1st two days & was feeling weak. Took advil for the headache & the weekness went away after the 1st few days.

Are Supllements Allowed On HCG Diet?

Everything is going well. My average lose is 1 pound a day. But I feel as though my muscles ache more. Any suggestions? Perhaps vitamins? I'm only on week one so I plan to start a workout regiment, but I'm concerned about my energy level and soreness. Are supllements allowed?
