Just finished a round
I just finished a 40 shot round and started my phase 3 maintenance today. In my phase 2 round I lost 40 pounds! If you have questions, always refer back to Dr. Simeons original Pounds & Inches protocol. I followed it to the "T" and had great success! Good luck to you. Its a great diet protocol.
|
I did a 40 day round of sublingual Rx, and lost 25 lbs. Have kept it off so far, it's been 6 weeks into maintenance mode. I'm not finished though, I've got another 30 or 40 lbs to get to goal. I followed the Simeons protocol except I mixed veggies, and gave myself an extra protein on the days I worked out (weights and or running).
I may do another round, or I may try following a low cal leptin diet. The hcg diet worked for me, but it is grueling and unforgiving. It is an excellent way to get the garbage foods out of your life, and you learn to really like fresh clean eating. My BP is now normal, my thyroid meds were reduced, and my joint pain is gone (as long as I don't eat breads/grains). |
HCG Diet - Losing is Believing!!!
Started on the HCG shots yesterday. Am on my second day of gorging. Starting at 178 lbs with a goal of 145 by early June (for my son's graduation). Wish me luck! Would love to hear from others on the diet. ;)
|
Lost 7.6 lbs in 7 days!
Clothes are feeling loser, I have more energy and all around feeling great! Stepping on the scale every morning and seeing another lb gone is the best feeling ever! :D
|
How is the food?
Are you feeling ok on the restrictive diet? Did cravings go away? Just wondering how you adjusted to the low calorie intake. It feels sooo good to lose weight doesn't it? Congrats and hang in there.
|
Congrats on the weightloss!! I want to start HCG. Can you tell me if this is a good price??? I saw that the local heath center that I've visited for skin treatments and certain spa services is offering a deal for 30 days of HCG and a book on the program for $50 valid 2 days only - ends on 4/20/11. I guess it's normally $110. I know they are a reputable business and I'm confident in the quality of their HCG. However, I'm not well educated in the deals or various prices for HCG around the web and in stores. Can anyone let me know if this is worth buying??

Day 14...Down 13 lbs!
I havent felt hungry at all on this diet. I have been drinking a lot of green tea (and water) so if I ever even think of food off schedule I make some tea and by the time I finish it, I have forgotten about food. For the past 4 or 5 days, I have to "remember" to eat because I am not hungry AT ALL.
As far as cravings, I have been ok because I experiment a lot in the kitchen so I use a lot of different flavors and textures to keep my taste buds happy. I paid $159 for the 1st 28 day round of the HCG injections which I found out later was way expensive. At least it got me going...and 13 lbs later I dont regret it one bit! I ordered another 28 day round for a fraction of the cost since I decided to do the whole 40 days. Today I am trying out the miracle noodles which have no calories and no fat. Seems a lot of others have done great eating these noodles. Will let you know how it goes. :) By the way...I am so full of energy that I cant stand myself. Actually working on all those little house projects which I have been putting off. I sleep less and feel a lot more rested. All around I think I am much happier. I decided today was the day to quit smoking as well. If I am going to lose weight, eat healthy, etc...no reason to keep a bad vice. Been ok thusfar today...had my moments but they have passed. Wish me luck! :) |
Do you have to take the shots and just do the diet and are taking the B12 shot as well?

I am on day one of the binge - I've been watching my friend have great success so I'm excited :) of course now that I CAN binge I'm not hungry ugh

Homeopathic HCG Diet Drop
I know a lot of people out there in the 'Diet World' knock the HCG Diet, but I LOVE IT!
I am 21 years old and in college I gained the freshman 15 and then the sophomore 10... Before I knew it I was fat! Then my mom introduced me to the HCG Diet and a company called DIYHCG (it stands for Do It Yourself HCG). It is a DIY company and you are not required to go through a doctor. I was not extremely overweight, just a little chubby... so I would not have been able to be approved by a doctor. I was able to lose 36 pounds and now I only have about 4 pounds left before I can reach my 'swimsuit body'. I have been maintaining my weight loss since my wedding in December and I am so happy that I was actually able to lose the weight so quickly! It was so easy and the Homeopathic Drops are a lot cheaper than the shots (a couple of my friends did the shots, but our results we about the same) I did the Do It Yourself HCG, and boy I am so glad I did. I just joined fit day to help me keep track of my calories, so I will be able to find the calorie range where my body maintains best. Wish my luck in losing my last 4-5 pounds with dieting and running! Have a great weekend everybody! :D |
Hello all!! :-)
I have been on the HCG injections for 14 days now and have lost a total so far of 12 pounds. I was so skeptical at first of how ior if this could really work. The first few days were difficult because of cutting so far back on the calories, but I was suprised how fulfilling the foods that are allowed on this diet are. Plus you drink so much water everyday that it makes me feel full and sometimes I can't even eat what I am allowed. I did my injections through a local medical spa called Monarch MedSpa. It was $1100. I know pricey, however that included all of my syringes pre-filled at the Dr.'s office and my weight loss is monitored by my doctor so it makes me feel safer. I can to go 23 days or 40 days if I choose. Also, if I want to do another round for another 23 days after one round, I don't have to pay extra. I am so happy so far and I am so anxious to see the final results. Beach body here I come! :-) |
Miracle Noodles
Hi :) I am on my 10th day of HCG VLCD. I have lost 7 lbs.! I am so excited. Feel Great. Hit a plateau a few days ago and did the apple day. Worked JUST like I read. Next morning lost 1.09 lbs! I have been reading about the Miracle noodles. Do you know if they carry them at Whole Foods?
Thank you. And the Best of Luck to you :o |
I have been on the homeopathic HCG drops. I did Phase 1 (2 days of load day) and Phase 2 (26 days of 500 calories) I lost 23 pounds, I am now in Phase 3 of maintaining for 21 days of 1700-1900 calories. After the 21 days are over I am going to do another round of Phase 1 and 2 to lose another 10 pounds. I am on day 6 of Phase 3 and maintaining.
I paid $49.00 for approx. a 30 day supply. Liquid HCG Drops is the name. I lost 50 pounds with weight watchers and was at a stall for 2 1/2 months and the HCG program got me moving again. I started at 211 pounds got down to 160 with Weight Watchers in 12 months gained 6 pounds on the Phase 1 (which you are suppose to do) so from 166.8 I now weigh 145, I got down as low as 144.4. On maintaining on Phase 3 I fluctuate from 145-147 (so far).:) |

Is there [or are there others interested in] a forum for Homeopathic HCG for for people who are committed to using it and want to support each other in the process? I don't need to read endless arguments against something I have committed to do - I have done my research and made my commitment.
What I need is to be able to talk with others about ways to do the diet successfully, share recipes and learn about transitioning back to long term maintenance. I lost 40 lbs. using the Homeopathic HCG and VLCD, and then went traveling without a scale or a diet plan and gained 20 lbs back. I have just started another round and want o be successful this time - my downfall was not monitoring after the weight loss. I was tired of being obsessed with my weight and felt deprived from eating fatty and carb comfort foods. These are the things I need help with to support me keeping the weight off. Thanks to you all and many blessings! |

BTW she was in a size 12 when she started, 30 days later she was in a 4. Now almost a year later her 4's are a little looser. You can't argue those results. If I didn't think she'd kill me I'd post up pics of her. BTW I have nothing financial to gain, in fact I've deleted just as many hcg links that were sites that sell it as I have anything else. |
I know this is a touchy subject, and I hate to even make a comment. But, I don't understand why people find it necessary to use HCG when we all know that weight loss can be achieved, at little to no cost, by burning more calories than one consumes. Look at the tremendous progress Michael has made doing just that. By losing weight slowly, you "retrain" your brain and body to look at food differently and, hopefully, learn about proper nutrition along the way. If you want to lose 20-40 lbs. for a wedding or another short-term goal, fine. But I can't see it as a solution for long term health and weight loss. Is it because those who use it want quick gratification? Because they don't like to/want to/can't work out? Is it because they find that strict diet and self-discipline are too hard over a very long period of time? If the answer is the latter, then when the use of HCG ceases, they will still have the same issues with strict diet, self discipline, controlling emotional eating and exercise. You either can do it or you can't. For a lot of people, if you lack strict self-discipline before HCG, you probably are going to lack it after HCG. Arguably, losing weight isn't the hard part. Maintaining a weight loss, long term, is. It may make you lose the weight, but it can't make you do the work.
Mike, I think your girlfriend has done a tremendous job! :) She dug deep within herself and was able to make a permanent lifestyle change and that's exactly what it takes. (I'm starting to sound like your "Hey, Fattie" thread! lol) |

Here's a little experiment for you to try. Prepare three days worth of rations according to approved VLCD plans and enjoy them without using HCG. By the end of day one you'll be ready to stab someone in the eyes. By the end of day two you'll be exhausted but when you crawl into bed you won't be able to sleep or do anything other than think of food, food, food. When you go to get out of bed on day three, you'll probably pass out before making it to the bathroom. HCG may not permanently change your lifestyle but for a lot of people, once they see how different they look 20 pounds lighter, it gives them the motivation to make better food selections once off of HCG. |
I suppose I should continue to stay out of this, not ever having ingested or shot up with HGC. And, I fully support anyone trying to lose weight, by any at least farily safe method, for the record.
I've lived on 0 calories for 30 days, I've lived on 1,000 cals a day for 9 months. I can't say I lost weight much, if any, faster than eating 1500 (now closer to 1700 average) for the last year. From my first weigh-in at 393 on June 19th 2010 to 235 this morning it's really been virtually painless. Yup, I get hungry when I'm supposed to. Then, I eat real food. I've been far from "perfect" and my exercise is modest at best. Have I developed fairly good eating habits? Yup, I think so. Will I keep the weight off this time? I'm pretty optomistic that I will. Anyweigh, I wish only the best for those doing HGC--it's 110% better than not doing anything! Regards, Michael |
I did a round of hCG last December and lost 30 lbs. Prior to doing it, I tried the old calories in/calories out method faithfully eating 1200 calories of fruits/vegs/whole grain and low fat protein. I worked out 5 times a week at the gym for 90 minutes a session alternating cardio with strength training and 2 days a week of water aerobic as well. I lost 4 lbs in 3 month. That's it.
I'm 53 yrs old, hypothyroid, high BP, fatty liver disease, arthritic ... I have maintained my loss. My BP is back to normal, my joints do not hurt, and my doctor lowered my thyroid med dosage. On the diet, I ate unlimited fresh veggies daily, one fresh fruit daily, two 4 ounce servings of low fat protein daily and because I'm a rogue, I threw in a hard boiled egg every morning for breakfast. I did that for over 6 weeks, and retrained my tastebuds and mind as to what food meant to me. When restricting calories as much as you must on this diet, you absolutely do the work that quinnesec claims can't be done. Without the work, no one lasts on this diet. And there are lots who do drop out of it. It is not for the faint of heart, or anyone without some real determination. The weight loss success and the determination carry over into maintenance. jhkoenig claims he can't find anyone with long term success. I say it's because you haven't looked hard enough. I left the Fitday forum because of the hCG Unfriendlies, and found two forums that were friendly to the program. 25,000+ members, and I will testify that there are plenty who take off the weight, and maintain it - better than the average dieter. It doesn't just change your weight, but the process demands that one change their relationship with food, and for me, many of my health problems cleared up. I think it helped to balance some hormonal issues I was having. I am healthier than I've been in a long long time. Insulin is the hormone that is released when blood sugars increase after eating sugars & carbs. It drive the fat storage decision. Leptin is the hormone that is release by adipose tissue (fat) to signal to the brain whether to be hungry or not. Hunger & appetite are marked by the hormone ghrelin. The thyroid hormones control the master metabolism and are integral to one's body temp and fluid movement at the cellular level. Hormones, and hormone resistance which mess a person up if they become out of balance. hCG is a hormone, so it shouldn't be so surprising that is has an effect on the hormonal system which contributes to weight gain or loss. Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it isn't there. Just because something is outside of your understanding, doesn't mean it cannot work. |

Hello All. This is my third round on HCG. I lost in my first round 26 pounds in 44 days. My second round I lost 30 pounds in 30 days. This is my last round.
I went to the Taste of Chicago Sunday and Monday (my load days)(June 26 and 27). I gained about 7 pounds!!! I have to say I ate like a pig. Today is day 5 for me and I have lost 10.4 pounds!!!. I feel pretty good, but I have to say this round I am experiencing hunger. I was on the drops which have an alcohol base, but the spray is what I'm taking now and it has a water base. Its suppose to suppress my hunger but I'm not getting that. I only need to lose another 14 pounds so this will be a half round for me. I plan to be off the spray by 7/18 and then my 3 days still doing the protocol and then phase 3 for 6 weeks (you add two weeks every time you do the diet) and then life phase. My goal is 140 lbs. I hope everyone has success in their efforts to reach their goal. I am drinking coffee this morning hoping that it helps to suppress my appetite. It usually does when I'm not on HCG. I guess we will see. If anyone has any suggestions, please send them my way!!!! Where do you get the miracle noodles from and what do they do? Are they HCG friendly? Thank you. |
Mike you are a beast! Wow! You look so good! Oh my goodness. Are you still losing or are you on maintenance? Did you have a friend go on with you or are you just a lone wolf? If nobody ever tell you......you look absolutely great! You don't even look like the same person! My husband and I both are on the protocol and this is our third round. We are excited to be finishing. my goal is 68 pounds. I have lost 54 so far. My goal is right there. I have only been on the diet 5 day and lost 10 pounds.
You are such an inspiration. Keep up the good work! |

Congratulations to all with such success, that is so great! Has anyone tried the HCG drops? If so where did you purchase them?

HCG works!
I have been on HCG diet for 34 days. Lost 23.5 pounds. I'm nervous about phase 3 - Maintenance. Does anyone have a sample diet plan for a day or week that you could share? I would appreciate it!

I had to order the miracle noodles. The only place I could find them was on-line. On those days that you are really hungry, they can make a big difference. I have done the injections. The first round I did injections. Very expensive. $500 for 40 days. On my second round I got a discount for returning, still very expensive and they didn't seem to work that time. A woman I work with had ordered the drops on-line. I did that the next go around. They worked even better than the shots. Much more affordable. I am also interested in the maintenance phase. My body is very sensitive now to carbs, sugars. If I eat any, I will gain weight.

On another forum that I'm on many of us do the Leptin Reset for phase 3, and we stabilize like a rock or keep on losing very very slowly. It was designed by Dr. Jack Kurse (google him for his website) and you can read it online. Although, be warned, he's a doctor and there's a lot of science talk!
Basically the Leptin Reset goes something like this: for 6 to 8 weeks: BAB = Big Ass Breakfast within 30 minutes of rising. Eat 50 to 75 protein grams for breakfast. That is a huge protein filled breakfast! Not easy to do! Eat 30 to 50 grams of healthy carbs (no sugars, no grains, no lactose) NO snacking at all between meals. Eat 2 to 3 meals per day, spaced 4 to 5 hours apart. Last meal is finished minimum 3 hours before bed. Sleep 8 to 10 hours per night. What most of us are experiencing is that the BAB shuts off our hunger for the rest of the day. We eat a normal size dinner, some eat a light lunch, and we're just not hungry for more than that. It's amazing, because prior to doing this I fought the urge to snack at night. I don't even think about it when I start the day with BAB. About half of us trying it are losing 1 to 2 lbs per week without trying, the other half are stabilizing at LIW. |
Started HCG Diet today
OK, so I know it's super controversial and not the "right way" to lose weight, but it is what it is. I am so committed to losing this that I am even going to stay sober on NYE tomorrow night, even though I spent a small fortune on a ticket out. I figured I would share my "journey" here...
I had to binge for the last 2 days and I took that pretty seriously as well. My weight this morning was 158.5 - higher than it's ever been, not counting after I had my 2 kids. I feel disgusting, puffy, fat, and thick. Not looking forward to all the chicken breast in my future - the diet is pretty strict and only certain meats are allowed. Of them all, I only eat the chicken :( I will keep updating you all. Please don't berate me for trying this...I gained 75 lbs with my 2nd pregnancy and lost it all by being healthy and exercising. I get it. I don't need a lecture. Thanks!! :) |
I am doing the drops that I bought online..not injections. The bottle was $75 or something. My doctor has no pity for me and told me to follow a 1,400 cal/day diet; there was no way she was going to prescribe me anything other than common sense. Well, I will say that so far it's hard to tell - I drank a ton of wine last night as part of my last hurrah, which meant I slept terribly - so I just feel dragged out and tired still. I am going to be eating my lunch of salad greens, chicken breast, and squeezed lemon shortly :\
|
Mike, your post about your girlfriend makes me thrilled. I am still a bit skeptical, so hearing that it worked for a real person is awesome. I just want the weight gone FAST. I am probably a very solid size 10 now, and look a thousand times better in my size 4 jeans...that haven't fit right in 2 years. Fingers crossed!!!
|
One more thing - I only eat chicken breast. Can other proteins be used (beans, nuts, etc.?) The instructions say that the diet has to be followed religiously.

I know you're not veg*n, but perhaps you could look into using chicken along with alternatives from the veg*n-friendly protocol. There's a decent amount of information on this--Google is your friend here. |
