I'm 17 and starting the gym next week.
Is it worth taking Cod Liver Oil and Multivitamins?
And would you recommend taking protein shakes? I'm have little muscle, pretty poor fitness and want to build them up.
Cheers for any advise

Hey Rick,
Fish oils are good for general health. Multivitamins are generally pointless unless you have deficiencies (clinical or dietary). As for protein shakes, they are a good way to get in more calories if you are looking to grow but your best bet for muscle is to eat clean, wholesome food, lift hard and heavy, and get plenty of rest/sleep.
Supplements are just that: to supplement your solid foundation of food, exercise, and rest.

Good advise, Nik. Although I will add that a daily multivitamin won't hurt, especially for a growing 17 year old .
