Anybody tried caloric cycling?
Hello everyone,
I am intrigued but caloric cycling (a.k.a Zigzag dieting or every other day diet). Has anyone tried this? I am not referring to the EODD where on alternate days you may eat as little as 400 calories... but I am interested in the versions where you might have less of a drastic change from day to day to prevent plateaus and to boost your metabolism: ie: for Fat loss Monday 1779 calories Tuesday 1740 Wednesday 2100 Thursday 1780 Friday 1740 Saturday 1960 Sunday 1779 I would appreciate any feedback, thanks B. |
I did it; it worked well.
I usually made my heavier calorie days the ones where I did more exercise. |
I do it somewhat. On the days that I workout I eat more.

Thanks...it seems sound if you eat properly and don't over induldge...I think it would make living easier by allowing the occasional treat.

I usually allow myself 1 cheat day or meal a week. Some of my cheats are pretty bad (see below, all was good until I gave in to the late night munchies)! :D BTW after my casein protein, I was ready to go to sleep. Got up, left the house consumed another 1500+ cals, 240 + grams of carbs, then went to sleep.

:) I was doing well today and then started craving junk...darn Halloween!

It sounds similar to the Rotation Diet which was popular in the 70's & 80's.
