The Pornstar Workout: 3 Pornstars Tell Us How They Stay Fit for the Camera

For most of us, we need a little extra motivation to get in shape. Beyond "it's good for you," things like school reunions, beachvacations,and weddings tend to be the things that get you going. It turns out that porn stars are just like the rest of us. Sure, they look great naked and seem ready to get undressed at a moment's notice, but even they need motivation beyond their day jobs. Check out how some popular porn stars stay camera-ready at all times:

Joanna Angel

Joanna Angel believes consistency is key to keeping in shape. She eschews crash diets before major events in favor of regular workouts and staying on track with a Paleo plan.

The Workout:

I go to Barry's Bootcamp a few times a week- if I really need to step it up, I will go every day, but it can get pretty pricey so I can't overdo it all the time. However, I do love the workout. It's an hour-long class with a mix of cardio and weights- I feel like a lot of workout classes either focus on one or the other and this is focused on both.

The Diet:

I found that the Paleo diet has been incredible. I eat a lot of food, like... so much food! I don't starve myself at all.... I feel great and I have a lot of energy. If you're trying to lose a lot of weight the best thing to do is go running. When I got kinda heavy (I gained about 30 pounds when I turned 31. The joys of getting older! ha!) I tried every workout under the sun, and nothing worked better than running. I ran every morning, several miles a day, and I got addicted to it. You don't need a treadmill - just get outside and run! And if it's too cold run in a jacket and gloves and if it's hot go really early in the morning. Now I have to force myself to do more weight training and less running because I don't need to lose any more weight and I do need to tone up more. I use an app called "Skimble" that gives me different workout routines I can do from home and I try to do one of them on any day that I don't do cardio. Even if it's just a 10-minute workout!

The Motivation:

It's not just being naked; the rise of social media is kind of what did it for me. People want to see several images of you a day- with makeup, without makeup, while you're in your car, before you eat a meal, etc. I feel like the concept of getting in good shape for a wedding or a particular photoshoot or something is just gone now- people need to look good all the damn time because people's lives are public - and anyone can comment on your appearance at any time of day.

I really think the key is just being consistent. Find a diet and a workout routine that you can afford, and that fits your daily routine and your lifestyle. That's the most important thing!!

Tasha Reign

Tasha Reign loves to feel confident, whatever the number on the scale. She sticks to a vegetarian diet and varies her workouts. Like many women, her weight fluctuates, so she also does the occasional juice cleanse or ramps up her workout to drop the pounds when they begin to creep up.

The Workout:

I just got back from Runyon Canyon, one of my favorite spots to exercise for free and in a social way. I am a member at Equinox and I try my best to work out a minimum of 3 days a week. I will either take a yoga or a Pilates class or do an outdoor activity with a friend, like hiking. One of my favorite workouts is CARDIO BARRE. Its a ballet class mixed with Pilates and other dance, it's also a chain.

The Diet:

I too struggle with the daily choices of what to put inside of it [my body] (pun intended) and I most certainly love cocktails, French fries and cookies. Furthermore, I do juice cleanses and really like pressedjuicery.com. It's not a long-term solution but oh my god, does it make you look fabulous fast! I also am a vegetarian and I don't smoke, I think this helps with beauty and skin. On top of all of that, I am very lucky to have a very fast metabolism; I can eat a lot and not necessarily see the results fast, although I do fluctuate regularly. Some fans like me thin, some like my curves. I just care about how healthy and fit I feel and also how that translates to photos and videos. Right now I am a little wild when it comes to my eating habits and trying to get back on track!

Aspen Rae

Aspen Rae started in the adult film industry when she was 18. Now, at 25, she has begun competitive body building, furthering her lifelong interest in physical fitness. Due to her lifestyle on and off camera, Aspen takes her diet and exercise regimen very seriously.

The Workout:

I love [doin] anything upper body! Girls are often so scared of hitting the weight rack, but it's my favorite place in the gym! Working out my shoulders is awesome. I like to combo shoulder presses, with lateral raises. Before any type of big event, I'm sure to up my cardio time and intensity a few weeks before. StairMaster all the way!

The Diet:

The diet is key before any kind of event. Whether it is an appearance for a signing, a photo-shoot, or hitting the stage. Diet is so important! I eat 5-6 meals a day. With four ounces of protein in every meal.

The Motivation:

My body is my job. I watch myself naked every day on cam every day for hours at a time, so I'd consider myself to be very self-aware. Being fit is something I love doing and maintaining, but knowing that I'll be entertaining thousands of people a day with my naked body definitely gives me that little extra motivation to turn down the Oreos.

People ask me all the time, "How do you get those abs?" The two biggest and easiest changes I've added to my life to help achieve them, are: 1: drink your water!! I drink a gallon of water a day; sounds like a lot, but its keeps off the water retention and makes you glow. 2: eat lots of small meals throughout the day. I never leave home without my little cooler. You won't catch me without a meal or two in my bag, and a big ole water bottle in my hand.
