6 Reasonable Celeb Diet Tips You Should Know

While there are a lot of celebrity diets which are strange and extremely restrictive—like Beyoncé’s master cleanse which consisted of a liquid diet of cayenne lemon water, and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s cabbage soup—and should definitely be avoided, there are some celebrity tips when it comes to healthy eating that are actually helpful. Below are some of those tips.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley realizes we don’t need so much red meat.

The model told Vogue Australia how much better she has felt since reducing her red meat intake. She said, “And since I cut it out I have noticed how much lighter and better I feel. It’s not that I wouldn’t [ever] have it, I had lovely lamb chop the other day on the barbecue, it’s just changed. And I’ll have fish or chicken.”

Shailene Woodley likes to source local, organic food.

The actress previously told Women’s Health magazine, "My go-to [source for food], no matter where I am, I try to shop farmers' markets. It's obviously the freshest, and it's also less expensive, and you get to communicate with the people who are planting the seeds and harvesting it themselves."

Nicole Scherzinger’s mindful snacking.

The singer revealed that she only snacks at certain times of the day and this is usually fruit in the mid-afternoon. Insider spoke to a Swedish nutritionist who confirmed that the best time of the day to snack was at 3 and 4 p.m. and that it was best to eat protein at this time which would curb hunger but also lower blood sugar levels.

Chrissy Teigen doesn’t eat carbs in the morning.

The foodie and supermodel told Delish that she never eats carbs in the morning, instead opting for a protein-rich breakfast. She is quoted as saying, "I get really mad when I hear there's a continental breakfast somewhere. I'm not a big breakfast pastry, chocolate croissant girl. I have to have eggs every day. I like a farmer's breakfast: two over-easy eggs, turkey bacon or pork sausage, sliced avocado, and grilled tomatoes. I can't do pancakes or else I just want to go to bed. Eggs are my must—with a ton of Cholula on top."

Carrie Underwood eats a lot of veggies.

The singer revealed her healthy eating secrets during an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, saying that she tries to eat “totally vegan.” However, she did admit that sometimes at restaurants she eats cheese. Having a lot of vegetables in your diet is incredibly important, and this is something that Underwood realizes.

Miranda Lambert revealed the importance of greens.

The singer told a previous issue of Women’s Health that she doesn’t much like vegetables, so she drinks green juice instead. She said, “With the juice, I feel like I'm getting straight-up vitamins and good food. So if I don't eat anything else green that day, I've got my green in."
