The fourth of July challenge really motivated me, so I thought we'd give ourselves 3 months to try and do it again. (starting weight, current weight, amount lost, percent change, goal). Percent change = amount lost/starting weight *100.

Looking back through previous challenges, I think Mecampo usually starts the thread, so hopefully this won't split the site on the same challenge...I'm also assuming that you want to keep it in alphabetical order, so I'll assume that numbers would go at the top of the list. I weigh on Wednesday evenings, and will try to be on line with my results by Thursdays.

First Challenge
I'm in as well. I'm down 132 lbs so far since December 11th, 2011, and I'm shooting for a loss of 200 lbs by Christmas. I'm hoping this will help push me past my goal. This will be my first challenge, so please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong as far as posting.

I was at a frustrating plateau last week even though I was not eating extra calories and had upped the workouts (running a 5K nearly every day). This morning I finally saw another pound gone on the scale. I've lost nearly 67 pounds so I need to tell myself it won't come quite as quickly for the next 67 pounds, but when I look at these results I can tell I'm still on track. |

I just found out that my uncle died today though, so hopefully none of it comes back. He had been in ICU since 7/1, but all the Dr.s and nurses said that he had improved drastically in the past week or so, so it was still a shock to my system! Unlucky for me, I'm an emotional eater, and the next few weeks will definitely fit in that category :(. Sorry for the downer, hope everyone else is doing well. |

Emotional eating is a big trap for most of us. Times around funerals are very hard because we need something to make us feel good and food makes us feel good. Just make sure you go with a plan on the food and you'll make it. I have a wedding this weekend and rehearsal dinner plus reception is something I really have to plan for. So much food coming at me. I checked out calories on line for the restaurant at rehearsal dinner and I knew exactly what I could have. Skipped lunch so I could have a little more. |
