It has been a few Fridays since I posted not because I gave up but have had some medical set backs but am glad to announce I am only 7 lbs away from my Dec. goal.
Congrats to all who have lost or maintained their weight.
Here's hoping everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Start weigh in June 2011 was 234 lbs
183.2 lbs when I started posting on FIT again
TODAY 173.2 lbs
1st goal weight is 170 lbs by Dec. 11th(vacation)
2nd goal weight is 160 lbs by Feb. 1st
3rd goal weight is 150 lbs by April 1st
4th goal weight is 140 lbs by June 1st
anything below that weigh will be a bonus
Final goal is to keep it off
Didn't over eat yesterday but over indulged in holiday cheer the night before!!! Uggg still on first 2 weeks so didn't affect weight much but lost any progress I had made before the festivities.
Good day everyone I had a small week but good enough for me. Went out to a big party last Friday night and it took four days to come back down to my previous weight.
Hoping next week it happens more.
Awesome week Yunalee Love weeks that are so successful.
And don't worry MBD just keep on putting in the time and track your food intake, pay attention to how many calories you are eating and it will all happen for you
Good day to all Well what a dissapointing two weeks i have had. Two fridays with a party on each one has killed my losing streak. Last Saturday i went up to 224 and have been all week coming back down. Oh well this week should be good again.
Hey all, just wanted to check in and say, "howdy!" Yunalee, awesome job on meeting your mini-goal! Congrats.
Wayne, sounds like you got right back on the proverbial wagon after the parties, so I count that as a win.
As for me, I'm not bothering updating my weight, since I CANNOT seem to break 170. Diet and exercise are all spot-on; I'm telling myself that once my body gets adjusted to me working out again after a month off b/c of an injury, that I'll break this plateau. But I have to say that I am very, very frustrated and have been getting on the scale and thinking, and sometimes saying, "Why bother? I should just quit already and accept that this is what I'll weigh forever." I know, not very motivational (or rational), but I hate being stuck despite my best efforts and plateau busters. Le sigh! I wish I could lose weight a bit faster; even when I am on a losing streak, it sure ain't very fast. I'm not quitting, but this does suck, lol. It helps to vent now and then.
Peace out, and hope y'all have a great week.

Good morning Changeisgood, thanks for the kind words About yourself, are totally sure of your calorie intake? I ask because i had a few times where i stopped losing weight and after a while i realized i had let some things slip in to my diet and add calories like coffee creamer, olive oil, pumpkin seeds etc, those kind of calories.
One thing i have used to break a plateau is to completely change your food for a few days. Like a mostly fruit diet, or when i ate a lot of fruit i did nothing but steak and chicken for four days. Another time i went vegetarian for a few. Just the abrubt change always made my body react and weight loss started again.

Hola, Wayne - thanks for the response and the feedback. I'm going to be pretty strict this week and be extra aware of portion sizes and fending off those calories that have a way of sneaking in, as you mentioned. I think I'll probably eat more vegetable/grain-heavy than I have been, as well. I'll keep you posted, although yesterday I totally ate (too much) out of frustration, so I'll have to work that debacle down throughout the week, ha. Ah well, 'tis about the journey, not the destination, right?
