Default energy intake for protein

30% of energy intake for protein, 55% of intake in the form of carbohydrates and 15% for fat. A good basis is to consume, every day, about 2g of protein per kilogram of body weight, between 1g to 1.5g of lipids per kilogram of body weight and the rest of carbohydrates to complete the desired total calories. You can also note that 1g of protein equals 4 kcal, 1g of carbohydrate equals 4 kcal and 1g of fat is equal to 9 kcal.

You can explain that in more simple way. Its not easy to count 2g of proteins and 1.5 of lipids and more.

This is very relevant if you are already at a level of doing IIFYM, however for beginners I truly think it's better for you to focus on calorie restriction to start getting those results and go from beginner to intermediate knowledge.
