Clay, great job, man! I bet you're feeling pretty good and I'm glad your rate of loss is still good. Mine really started to slow as I neared 200 and I've been hovering between 182 and 192 since November--187 right now.

Anyway, keep doing what you're doing and keep letting us know.

Regards,
Michael

Hi, I am new to this site and to this thread. I am in my thirties and just had a baby six months ago. I weigh 270, which is around the highest I've weighed, and is even up 20 pounds from my postpartum weight, thanks in part to the drug I have been taking to help me lactate when breastfeeding didn't initially go well. I want very much to get down in the "ones" again, and have my knees and back not hurt so much. I know I have a lot of challenges with stress eating and a related phenomenon that I think of as "revenge" eating.

I am a little at a loss for how to go about this. Did those of you who have made months of progress toward a goal weight do it mostly by following the caloric intake suggestions on this site? Mine is telling me 2500 calories per day, though that doesn't take into account the breastfeeding. In my 20s, I lost 80 pounds one year by following a very strict diet of 1200-1400 calories, but the weight came back, and now I am older. I definitely don't want to yo-yo! I am not sure what would be best to do now, so would love to hear what method worked for you all.

Hi there, and thanks for your interest! I know I'm in this for the long haul, having done really well with FitDay back in '00/'01 then regressing to my former habits. This time I'm here to stay.

Have pretty much stayed in the 180's since November but my goal is to get into the 160's this summer and stay there. I've a pretty good idea how much I can eat to maintain and where I need to stay to lose.

Regards,
Michael

Amazing job Clay. I'm down 100 pounds since Dec. 10th, and I'd love to lose another 90 pounds in my first year. I was on vacation last week (we took the kids to Disney World) and I wasn't really watching what I ate. Luckily I only put back on 2 pounds, which could just be fluctuation. I'm back to the gym and logging all my foods, so I hope to do as well as you have. Keep up the great work!

Talking weight loos tips.

If you have got a hundred lbs or more to get rid of, odds are you have now been on numerous eating plans and exercising plans, with no long-term results. So, the common tips -- consume a lot less, workout a lot more, and don't hand over -- just just isn't ample.

WebMD polled weight reduction gurus -- too as guys and ladies who may have lost 100 lbs . or more and stored it off -- to ask for their ideal recommendations for those who have a lot to lose. Here’s their advice.
