I am running with my kids every day or backpacking. I am eating no sugar except what I get in berries or melons. I am making every meal under 600 calories and NO snacking unless I stayed under my 600 calories.
Yesterday I hike 10.6 miles (Old Rag Mountain in Virginia) with a hard rock scramble. I'm still very obese (BMI around 35) and the hike kicked my butt, but I made it. I still think it was easier to do 10 1/2 miles at 250 than it was to walk up the steps to my bedroom at 300.
First off, want to say that everyone that has posted to this board is an inspiration. You guys kick some serious butt So, now instead of lurking and reading all of your post, I have decided that I would become accoutable as well. My goal is to lose 100 lbs this year by eating right, excersizing, and drinking tons of water, no magic pills or gimmicks. I started my weight loss journey at my personal highest of 257 . So far I am down -13 lbs so yay. Long way to go, but I am here for the long haul.
Welcome Danielle! Sounds like you are off to a great start. It's great to see how everyone is doing.
I have been stuck at 348 for about a week and a half and I was getting a bit discouraged. I thought it was way too early to "plateau." But I know everyone's body is different. I was sure that when I stepped on the scale this morning I would have gained weight as I have been "bad" a few times this week. But instead of a gain it showed a two pound loss. Hmmm strange but I will take it! So now I'm down a total of 18 pounds in just under two months.

yep no matter how much logging it down makes me sick to look at... i put it in, and try to do better the next day.....or if time permits, i hop on my bike and ride a bit, to make a little calorie deficit....so for in the 14 months i have never eaten more than my body burns, i have come within 100 calories, but i walked a casino seven times to ensure i had a calorie deficit for the day....damn business trips with preplanned meals...lol
