Hi, I've trying to lose again. I am using weight watchers on line and tracking calories through here.
Logging food can be tedious but it does help keep you committed to the cause. The reports are helpful. Nice to see a chart of weight month to month. And the daily calories plotted on a graph makes you want to keep the number down.

I am over 60 and I do weight watchers also. I have lost 22.4 pounds in 5 months. I love my group, It is getting expensive and need the money,my six months are up next month. So I am thinking of just doing my weight watcher thing since I know it and doing this program on my computer with their CD don't know if their program is compatible with windows 10 will have to find out.

63 year old man ..started my Calorie Counting Program end of July 2017 . At 393 lbs goal to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week.. Tracked my daily food log on paper the first month , loss 12 lbs . Started using food log here on FitDay love it. I see a nusre once per month to get my weight, Hope meet my goal for Sept of 8 lbs loss. I did Calorie Counting for 18 months 2009 to late 2010 lost 125 lb.. got stuck eating 1000 cal per day and gave up .gain most of the weight back..trying again..

1000 per day is where i ended
I started in March of 09 at 2,000 cal per day. over 18 months i got down to 1000 per day after losing 125 lbs ..right now i am eating 1500 per day and lower it about 50 cal per day per month.. thanks for reading my post

Keep working it! Try not to restrict yourself so much. In the end, there is a phrase that I like to use often in my life.... 'Everything in moderation'. It's a good phrase to get in your head. Not only for what you eat but even in this case, how many calories you take in! Even just a calorie reduction from your normal every day intake of 300 calories will help you lose weight. Fast? No, totally not but it will result in the long run of losing weight. And yes, slower is better, especially if you aren't using tools meant to restrict your calories because it is so easy to say screw it and gain it all back.
Keep up the work! Take it day by day and track it!

I'm trying to get my mother interested. She is 65. I actually got her some really cool weightlifting shoes like these to try and get her going.

I am 60 & using Weight Watchers & I like it very much. I lost 10 lbs in less than 2 months. I like the SP but sometimes I do forget to eat. The foods I ate before WW were always the same but made my BG spike to high or too low so that's when I decided to do WW. I am also Diabetic II, the diabetes, Atkins, Anti-Inflammatory, and the Keto diets didn't work anymore. They made me gain 55 lbs after I had 5 surgeries since Nov/2015. I also have RA but I stopped my meds in Nov/2015 and added vitamin therapy to my regimen.
