Question Seated w/ some movement vs writing desk work?

Okay, just a quick question per the original purpose of this thread, what's the difference between "seated with some movement" as a lifestyle choice and "writing, desk work, typing, etc." as an activity? With "seated some movement" as my lifestyle I burn less calories than if I put down 24:hrs of "writing, desk work, typing". I did it just as a test, as when I was doing FitDay in March I would calculate my desk work and computer time separately from my lifestyle because it says I was burning more calories. I did lose weight but I just got out of FitDay for a while and am now wondering if I should calculate them separately or not.
Thanks! :~)
