Weight Reduction on the basis of Walk
Hi. I am doin walk daily for half an hour on the scale 2.5 km per half hour. I have no other physical activity except going from room to room and having a normal diet. How long shall I have to go to reduce 3kgs of weight.

3kg is approx. 6.6 pounds. Since a pound of body weight equates to 3500 calories you will need to burn 23,100 calories more than you eat. Half an hour walk at at 5 km/hour (about 3 mph) will burn 120 calories. Soooo... if we assume you are currently eating at maintenance and you don't change it will take 192.5 walks (23,100/120 = 192.5) to lose the weight. If you walk 7 days a week 192.5 / 7 = 27.5 weeks.
