beccafries 04-05-2013 06:35 AM

Hi ladies, glad you see you join :)
my wt today 141.2...im getting better :D

Just whatever day you do your weigh in post the update here, I weigh
on Fridays....

djslatt 04-05-2013 09:15 AM

I'm around off and on too. I need to check in periodically because I did gain in January/February when my husband was out of town. I'm afraid to weigh, but my jeans are tighter :(. So, I'm back to logging my food. It really does help -- keeps me honest.

Welcome new people. You'll help to keep me motivated, I'm sure!

smurfette54 04-06-2013 08:42 PM

Hi all. I am new here and love that we are all in this together.

At the beginning of the year I was 133. (Up two pounds from last year and up 16 from 4 years ago when I had a life change. My highest at one point was 180 but that is another story) I was doing plenty of cardio, but I guess I was doing plenty of eating too. I started weight training and I quickly went up to 137 pounds. I was frustrated so I started logging my food here. Today I am down to 127.4. My goal is 117 by the end of the year or sooner, so I got ten to go. What a slow process, but every .2 ounce is a victory. Please help keep me going.

Thanks all.

missizz 04-08-2013 12:10 AM

Had a disappointing weekend, scale wise. Had been trying harder last week, I wonder if a small amount of weight training could make an impact that quickly? Didn't weigh in this morning, but feeling hopeful for the week ahead!

PS. Training for another 5k, and don't want to carry this extra weight with me..

jonjaxmom 04-08-2013 04:27 AM

I'm baaaaaccckk!

carolynnq 04-08-2013 04:37 AM

I've finally lost enough that I can join this club! I've got 5 lbs to go to my first goal (145). I want to end up somewhere between 130 and 140 - to be determined later - depending on at what weight the jiggly fat disappears!

beccafries 04-08-2013 06:48 AM

Hi everybody glad to see some old names showing back up :D

Smurfette 54- Welcome 0.2 ounce is awesome too!!
Supernu- Glad you could join us...drink lots n lots of WATER
Carolynnq- you're doing AWESOME

We all need some motivation, I've picked up some lbs myself...but Im back

jonjaxmom 04-08-2013 01:04 PM

I'm at 143.... Driving me crazy! I took 3 weeks off to give myself a mental vacation, as i really needed it. Now I'm back. Look out! I've got 3 pounds to go! Thanks for all the support, everybody!

siritaomys 04-08-2013 06:23 PM

Hello there!!! I´m new at this and I so need to lose like 20 pounds!!! I´ve tried several diets and workouts but the problem for me is that the longest I´ve lasted at any type of program to lose weight has been like 15 days and then I gain all the weight back!! I can´t seem to be able to maintain the routine!! Well here I go again!! hope it works!!!

jonjaxmom 04-09-2013 01:05 AM

I'll be doing my weigh ins on Fridays this time around... just to go along with the ladies at work...

I AM SO READY TO FINISH THIS RACE, AND START THE MAINTENANCE JOURNEY!

missizz 04-10-2013 05:44 AM

Still struggling here ladies. Read through the posts from this thread from last year, yes I'm having the same troubles as others, I think the scale is broken! Seems like workouts have been more intense, plus mixed them up with cross training (something that I haven't done for a while), watching food and eating less. Maybe all will start to pay off shortly, fingers crossed.

dancerinjade 04-10-2013 10:59 AM

Hi everyone,
I've been on fitday on and off for about 2 years but haven't really been active on the forums. I've got 10 lbs to lose (at 135 right now and want to get to 125). I've been stuck between 135-140 for the past 6 months or so and I'm ready to make that push! I try to work out at least 5 times and week and eat healthy, but I love carbs (chips and salsa, bread, granola bars) and they add up quick! Looking forward to supporting each other!

outdrsgrl05 04-10-2013 04:22 PM

Hello, everyone

Hi, I didn't realize that there was a newer post on the 10-15 lbs. Due to a breakup last year, and a relative passing away. .I guess you could say I was depressed. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to get back into my routine of exercising and healthy eating. Over the course of a year, I've put on 12 lbs. . So, I'm back to where I started four years ago.

Current weight is 145, want to get to 135 or low 130's in two months.
Ideal weight is 125.

I've eliminated /severely limited grains to one piece of bread, twice a week, and trying food combining (only eating certain foods with certain foods). It's about my 4th day of doing this, and already I feel like I have more energy. Just wondering, what you should aim for , in terms of carb grams. .am getting my carbs only from veggies (green beans, lentils, leafy greens, asparagus, small amount of sweet potato). Protein is fish, chicken, nonfat greek yogurt, reduced fat provolone cheese.

missizz 04-10-2013 11:38 PM

Yay! Scale has moved!

MARI66 04-12-2013 12:03 AM

Chris- you are so close my friend

144.6 for me today....no more snacks and good food this week or drinks :p

smurfette54 04-13-2013 01:09 PM

Keep plugging away everybody. I am down .8lbs this week, currently at 126.6. Running a 5k tomorrow. Every day seems to be a struggle though. Love to read everyones posts. I am slacking off on the weight training. Think I have hit a wall there. Need to change my routine around so I feel like I am improving. Want to be between 125-126 by my birthday which is in about 3 weeks. Then maybe I can have my cake and eat it too, but in a small portion.

Let's keep on losing!!!!

canary52 04-17-2013 09:04 AM

Hi Everyone,

I'm back! I was stuck at 137 for the longest time. Now I am stuck somewhere between 129 and 132, currently 131. My lowest: 128 for about 10 minutes. I hope to be stuck at 125 lol!!! Lower than that, I might just start to look like a human shar pei (those wrinkled dogs) but who knows? As I like to say, I'll burn that bridge when I cross it!!!

losetenmore 04-18-2013 06:21 AM

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Fit Day as of today. Since Christmas, I have lost 14 pounds dropping from 160 to 146. For the past month, I have been on a 146 plateau while doing Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 program, but I did eat a little more free for spring break and Easter. I really want to reach my goal weight of 135 by June 5, 2013, which means I need to lose 11 pounds in the next 1.5 months. I am starting to get serious again about this weight loss by tracking everything I eat, consuming 1,100 calories per day, and doing Jillian Michaels 6 week six pack program.

I am going to need some encouragement to reach that goal, and hopefully this plateau will come to an end!

Thanks!

carolynnq 04-18-2013 10:30 AM

Welcome, losetenmore. I hear you about plateaus. I was stuck at 155 for a couple of weeks. It can be discouraging sometimes when you're doing everything (well, almost everything!) right and the weight's not coming off. But even during that plateau I was encouraged by feeling better and my clothes being loser.

I had been keeping calories under 1400/day. When I dropped it to under 1200, I finally broke through that darn 155. But who knows if that was what did it or if it would have happened anyway at that point.

You've got to lose just under 2 lbs a week to meet your goal - very do-able. You lost the first 14 - you sound very committed - you can lose that last 11.

losetenmore 04-19-2013 12:47 AM

Thanks carolynnq for the encouragement. We have all had frustrating plateaus! This weekend I am traveling for three days, and my big goal is to do right all 3 days even while I am out of my routine and celebrating with friends. I want to stay at 1100 calories, and my goal is to weigh the same or less (146.8) than I did this morning! Here we go.....let's see! I am going to have to be really good as saying "no thanks".

beccafries 04-19-2013 10:49 AM

Im at a plateau of eating bad :p

143.4 today :)

canary52 04-21-2013 02:20 AM

Back up to 135. I must take action. Hi Becca! Hi Chris!! Hi Carolynn! Hi everyone!!!

conchal 04-22-2013 07:41 AM

I'm a newbie and I'm in! :)

I took my kids to an indoor waterpark this weekend and saw myself in a bathing suit. I was almost in tears when I saw my reflection in the mirror.
Inspiration and support will make this journey easier.:)

I am in! I lost 30 lbs in 3 months using fitday back in the fall of '09. I got to my goal weight of 170lbs and maintained that for about 18 months. Since then it has slowly crept back, and I am today at 182.5lbs. I want badly to get back to my 170lbs, however, we are trying to conceive baby #2, so the amount of time I have to loose weight really depends on that happening sooner or later! So my major goal is to get back to eating healthy portions of healthy foods and avoiding high calorie desserts, which is my downfall. I looooovvvveeee dessert! So if anyone has some great low calorie dessert ideas to satisfy my sweet tooth I would love to hear them!

Good luck to everyone!

So I wrote this message above last Friday before leaving for a long weekend of celebrations with friends, and I am glad to say that I had a lot of self-control this weekend! I ran every morning, drank 5 water bottles each day, and stayed in my 1100 calorie limit! I did allow myself to taste one bite of each bridal shower food, but I stopped after one bite of all the unhealthy food!
The hard work paid off, I actually went down 2 pounds and now am 144.6!

What I do at home when I'm craving something sweet is make a cup of licorice bark tea. Not exactly as good as chewing something sweet, but it usually does the trick -- I LOVE licorice and this tea is really sweet tasting to me...

Restarted at 187# now down to 179

My name is Karmon. Goal is 167/167. I lost 84lbs in 2009 w an Atkins type diet. Then life stress and no time for exercise caused me to go up 20lbs. Now I excercise 5X/wk and am back to clean rating. Feeling so much better!
I'm not perfect but I'm getting better everyday.

Hello,
I'm new to Fitday and to this board. I am trying to lose 20 lbs by September. I just got married, I now have two step children and a dog as well as a husband :) I also changed careers in the past year. During all this upheaval my weight has been creeping up, and I was never really slim. I'm noticing it, it's bothering me and so now I'm doing something about it!!
