Thanks Mike. Yeah, and the week just got a little tougher. My local pharmacy can't get a hold of my Dr to get a refill of prescription--ironically enough for BP med. It has now been 3 days. I phoned this morning after talking to pharmacist and Dr is in meetings all day. Yes, she is a specialist but 3 days??? Thankfully pharmacist is giving me emergency supply. I'll just go to family Dr when that runs out!!!
Must remember not to get too stressed because that is when I say "screw it" and just eat anything.

After my first week, I'm down 2 lbs... 7 to go. It was an especially good week because I ate out multiple times and will do so again tonight at our annual Christmas party. I have a plan for tonight and am determined to stick to it. Usually, I have a few glasses of wine and my plan goes out the window. So, in order to make it work, I may be having to endure some very irritating people armed with nothing but a Diet Coke... wish me luck.

I have a lot farther to go but I'm taking it one week at a time (that's when I weigh)

Good morning, all! It's been a slow week here . I guess everyone is busy, busy, busy with holiday preparations. I fell into the busy trap as well and haven't posted in a couple days, so guilty as charged .
Quinn, I hope the party was fun and that the irritations were kept to a minimum. Keep up the good work; let's stay strong and get our good habits ingrained again! When does your daughter finish up?
Donna, way to stick with it! I hope it continues to go well for you.
Jenn, I'm glad you got your meds straightened out. I totally agree; getting stressed is often the road to food perdition.
Joanna, way to think through your choice on the pretzels . I agree that impulsive eating is not good no matter how you look at it, and I'm glad you avoided it! If I can make myself think, that's more than half the battle.
Mern, I'm so glad the kitchen issue resolved itself for you. I am sure it will be lovely. So sorry you had to go through such an agitating process with the contractor.
Krystal, keep your chin up; you can turn this around. You have had some successes and I know you will have more. You can do this!
Mike, I know you were busy yesterday, but it's back to the basics, bucko! You didn't stop off for a blizzard, did you?
Ama, how are you hanging in?
I'm glad to say I've been on track and am doing well with the food choices and the calories (funny how those go together, isn't it?). I'm especially happy that for the past three days, things were crazy, days were long, and dinners were late and spur-of-the-moment, and I still didn't fall off the wagon. I had a lovely dinner on Friday night with my husband at our favorite Thai place, so I have no ideal how to log it, but I am pretty sure I made a fresh, healthy choice that wasn't a calorie bomb.
And yesterday, we finally made a decision and bought a car. We both tend to research things to the death and this was no different, so it feels good to have finally made that decision (of course, the $6500 drop in price helped make it, lol). But we had to juggle that with our son's audition and so it really did end up taking most of the day.
Today will be a catch-up day for work and home stuff; I'm getting ready to start laundry and run errands. Hope you all are doing well!

YAY--finished off the week well.
Calories good, Carbs 135 Protein 80. A little over on protein since i had chicken salad sandwich at lunch.
I made Lisa's recipe for Spaghetti Squash Au Gratin. It was really good and incredibly filling! I added a little bit of garlic. It's a great alternative to pasta since it's 1/4? of the amount of carbs in pasta.
Now to just work on exercise next week!
