First major goal already met – reduce my blood sugar levels. My 3 month average was over 16, sugar starting to show up in urine so my dr. referred me to specialist as he thought I have to go on insulin (yep, that was MY ‘a-ha’ moment) The appt with endocrinologist is for July 9. Happy to say I have an appt with my reg dr this Wednesday as he gave me add'l med to try and reduce my sugar levels and I had to stop taking it bcos it was making my bs level too LOW. My readings this past week are now almost normal – in the 6.0 range! I’m hoping he’ll tell me that we can cancel the specialist.

Goals this week:
1. Drink more water – I am only averaging about 30 oz/day, not enough for initiation into pcc!
2. Start walking – Hope I am very encouraged by you. I have FM too, along with chronic pain and it is a struggle every day to move esp. since I am working full-time. I start tomorrow, even if it’s only 15 minutes it’s more than I’m doing right now!
3. Get more sleep – I normally get a good 8 hrs but the past couple of weeks have been crazy and my avg is only about 6. Need to get back on track.
4. Post my ‘before’ pics – I did get them taken this weekend, but last couple of days have been very busy, promise to post tomorrow.

April, your pics are AMAZING. You go girl!

Mike, I looked at your pics 210.4 vs 174: what I found most impressive was not just weight loss, but the overall difference in your posture. INCREDIBLE!

I am very inspired by all of you and your ability to persevere and look forward to conversing!
Cate, welcome. I am very impresed by you: working full time and so busy AND with FM. Since many Fibro people have sugar issues (40% have hypocglycemia but many also have high blood sugar) low carb is actually a good plan and you seem to be doing really well on it. Sleeping is really important (and sometimes very difficult for people with FM) so that's a good goal as well. And even 15 minutes of exercise or movement helps and it IS wise to go slow. Many of us have exercise intolerance which causes flares when we overdo (or even sometimes do.) I am not making this up, Mike!!! I actually love to exercise but have to be careful, a little at a time. As I was saying, I have this little floor routine I do on a mat and just doing this every day (as well as anything else I can manage) helps me feel better. And if I can motivate you (or anyone), then I am glad. We all motivate each other! That's what this forum is about. So glad you joined us!

Tori, you are a monster with that water. Ad here I thought my little 72 oz was a big deal. You might have me stepping up my game (tho maybe not in pink.)

Mern, you must be channeling Amy with that project. BTW Where is Amy?

Ammmmmmyyyyyyy....yoooooo hooooooo! There are log cabins being built. Where are yooouuuu?

Quinn, you are inspiring me to walk but unfortunately, the weather isn't. Would a little sunshine kill us here?

My dentist told me yesterday that I was "getting too thin." Normally I would be thrilled to hear this but he followed it with "Is it stress?" (Not till you spoke up, buddy.) Seriously, of course it is stress. (altho I usually stress eat) But it's also FD. So there.

Nobe, never worry about ranting. To us? Pleazzzze.

Cate, I also love your 5 different color vegetabel tag. If only I could... Future goal?

Quinn - re: color - I copy and paste from a note too, but to keep the colors, you have to copy the HTML from before publishing the post, not the post after it's been published. So for instance, your color would be 1200 (except you close the quotes around the color name, I couldn't close them or else the color would come through, not the HTML) ... if you already know this, you can ignore my post!

Ugh, I'm so angry about these pounds I gained over the weekend... I know these things happen and just have to take it in stride, but I was feeling so good about being down for the week, and now I'm somehow magically back where I started last week, plus a pound... grrrr. Alright, I'm over it.

Still the talkative bunch I see. I'm not back up to speed yet so forgive me for missing some of you!

Cate ... Thank you for the comments on my pics!

Tori ... You can make up that water! Don't let Mike beat you with water!

Mern ... I've said it before and I will always think this...but I wish you were my grandma growing up. Those kids will have so many great memories of you when they are older!

Mike ... I had my very first mammogram last Wednesday. Haven't gotten results yet. May call the dr office today though since you mentioned it.

Nobe ... It's okay to get mad at your hubby for being inconsiderate. Mine and I had a discussion last night because I was getting on his nerves. You know what? Every month this happens. It's TOTM and for some reason I get on his nerves during that week. You would think he would be used to it by now! LOL

.....Remember how I said that I loved eating all my veggies and fruits yesterday? Well I topped that off with 3..yes 3! cupcakes last night and about 8 oreos with a glass of milk. How's that for always on track? LOL

Hi guys,

Mind if I join a day late and a dollar short?

Work has kind of blown up, but I'm ~hoping~ it will settle down so that I can check in daily, I always miss this group when I'm not a part of it!! I'm also going to make an effort to log in from home, since it tends to be something that I do at work. Starting to get excited for finishing my last experiments and then heading out to my new and much more desired job!

Weekly Goals

Food, Exercise and Lifestyle Goals

1) Keep daily calories under 1500
2) A calorie deficit of at least 3500
3) Multivitamin daily
4) 80+ ounces of water daily
5) In bed by 11:30 every night, no excuses!!!!
6) Weigh daily and report
7) Work out on the weekends, for heaven's sake

Other Goals
1) Make an effort on my appearance every single day. This means hair, makeup, clothes. I don't care if it's an "animal day," that is no excuse!!!
2) Do not let others' stress become my stress
3) Stop stretching myself too thin
4) Write one wonderful thing that happens every day

~Terri

Terri ... Oh my gosh girl! I saw your avatar pic and really didn't think it was you! That is awesome! I wish I could see the pic bigger though. I can't find a way to enlarge it.

Enjoy your day, everyone! Catch up with you all later!

p.s. Mike,
I don't know what's up with me and color... lol. I update everything during the day on notepad and then when I copy and paste it to fitday at the end of the day, the color doesn't transfer, so I bag it. But, your right... I have to add some fun back into my daily "stuff"! lol I have neon blue Nikes... does that count???
Neon blue? Went shopping with the chirrens?

That's the right attitude, maybe Tori will adopt it.
Good luck on your results!
